dodge durango
I purchased a 2000 dodge durango as a certified used truck. It came with a warranty . It hav been 5 years and I have not put one dime into this truck (excluding reg. maint) untill today. I have recently purchased a new warranty with U.S fidells and today I am replacing the evaporator (121000 miles.) Great truck very dependable.poor gas mileage. well built and fun to drive. It could very well run forever with the new warranty.covered until 210000 miles.
Durango about a little below par
The unit has great power and it has held up decently, but things like windows not working and the power door locks failing bug the crap outta me.
SLT Plus Is a Winner
I have had my Durango for a year, and I have really enjoyed. The 5.9 V8 is quite powerful, and great in passing situations and off-the-line. Styling and room are great. Ride quality is smooth for a truck-based SUV, and much better than previous Explorer. The flat-folding third row sear is a big plus.
OK so far, 73K miles
Have owned this vehicle since new and it now has 73K+ miles. Had one issue with an air conditioning relay which was a $250 repair and it happened just after the warranty ended. Also had the recall repair for the ball joints. This has been and continues to be a reliable vehicle for me. The gas mileage (about 18 Hwy) leaves some to be desired but it is on the high end for what I expected for this vehicle. The interior components are not the best quality, the break easily.
No, you didn't get a bad one
My 4.7 engine blew at 74,000 miles with no oil pressure. Heater core failed at 40,000 miles, cost $800 to replace. If you're thinking of buying a Durango, my advice is dont!
