Battery Issue
Since my original review, I've had multiple issues with this car. Twice I had to take the car in for service for a misfiring coil - all within 6 months. I was fortunate enough that I had the forethought to purchase the extended Mopar warranty.

PRETTY DECENT FOR THE PRICE AND BUILT FOR MODDING.
After i sold my sports car i was looking for something fun if nothing else, my 2013 dart 1.4 turbo delivers that and more. The styling may not stun you at first, but the longer you own it the broad muscular aggressive front end lowered stance grows your love for the car especially if you have the turbo. The multi air turbo is not for beating mustangs off the line, it is for incredible gas mileage and increased horses when you need it. the interior is very solid and shares the design of the charger. The platform is the alpha Romeo design and hugs curves incredibly. Very fun to drive, beefy steering wheel and beastly dual exhausts with the charger all across racing tailight. The turbo gets on the highway and at 60 mph around 4,000 rpm hang on! The turbocharger kicks in and the engine sounds unbelievable. Awesome exhaust note during daily commutes, i look foward to driving the car. and it can be modded easily . Update. I've had my dart 1.4 turbo one year now, with scheduled maintenance intervals being followed especially oil changes it feels like I bought the car yesterday, my update is for the 1.4 turbo owners. Turbos are becoming very common in new sedans and economy cars because of tough government emissions standards, a turbo engine helps a small power plant with 4 cylinders burn less fuel and still deliver more power, so don't view your turbo dart as a performance car because it's turbo charged. That said it's very fun to drive and I much rather own it over an Elantra or Chevy Cruze. Now at 79,000 miles I have the hang of how the turbo boost works and how to drive for performance or gas mileage. For mileage keeping your foot out of the turbo boost will keep you away from the gas station for nearly 2 weeks which is the main function of the 1.4 turbo. When you want to have fun, the 1.4 turbo is sluggish off the line, but turbos are for optimal performance after high speeds have been reached, don't push the dart and let it reach it's rpms on it's own with your foot on the gas firmly but smoothly, remember it's not a sports car. Once again, the 1.4 turbo dart likes the highway, at 60 mph and 4,000 rpm it cries for more, you can tell the car will easily do 110 mph with the 184 pounds of foot torque. around town in stop and go traffic, school zones etc, futuristic modern sounding howls come from the engine combined with the snarling dual exhaust note, I find myself keeping the radio turned off. Look underneath the hood and you will not see any of the ground underneath, there is a cover on bottom that completely encloses the engine from dirt, nice touch. Stares are even drawn occasionally and necks turn from the sound of the car when I pull into a parking lot or gas station. Mine is silver. No plans to sell or trade it!!!!! 1.4 turbo dry dual automatic clutch.

Liking the 2013 Dart.
I was surprised when I saw the car and found out it was a Dart!-My thinking alway thought of the Dart as a really small compact car. This car has plenty of room, coming from a 2003 mustang. At 6'4" I have plenty of Room.Getting used to the transmission, was new,now I fly all around town, using little gas.-Love the car!!!
My Biggest Regret!!
I purchased this car brand new when initially introduced to the market in late 2012. I purchased this car under emotional stress due to the Sandy storm which completely flooded my Audi, totaling it. So the decision to purchase the Dart was more impulsive and out of desperation. Fast forward 3 years later, i'm now having problems with the engine and the engine light comes on sporadically throughout my ownership. I'm not getting the fuel efficiency that is proudly advertised by Dodge. The fuel cap gets stuck and doesn't open during cold weather. When the weather gets below 30, my car has trouble recognizing my FOB key, with issues that causes it not to work reliably.
DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!
I will save you a lot of time and money by simply saying do not buy this car! I'm serious. Days after driving it off the lot, it has stalled on me, died on me, service transmission light comes on constatly, check engine light comes on, and I've taken it back to the dealership continuous times for repair adn the issue keeps occuring. The dealership refuses to trade me into another car and now has said I have depreciated the value due to keeping it for too long. The two previous owners both had the same issues to, I checked the records. I was tricked into buying this car or else I wouldn't have! For a 2 yr old car this should not happen! Save yourselves, run!!!
