Its better than they say it is
Bought my new R/T Scat pack last week and I am very pleased. I have read reviews saying that this car is bulky and poor handling but I strongly disagree with this and contend that the problem lies in the lack of a driver with extensive experience driving these types of cars. It feels just as light and maneuverable as a heavily modified 1968 Barracuda (10 grand in the suspension alone) I own that weighs almost an entire Mazda Miata less than the Challenger. If you know how to drive, you will have the ability to get the most out of this car, which is what will actually make the difference between being faster or slower than your neighbor with a Mustang or a Camaro. Power is amazing. In 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear the engine redlines as though it were free revving in neutral, you better pay attention because the shift points are going to come very quickly. Traction control is obviously working very well at this point because normally with this kind of power being applied a car will fishtail all around making it necessary to see saw the steering wheel to stay on the road. 4th isn't much slower winding out and is good for an easy 120. 5th gear was as high as I went on my little acceleration trial and I backed off at 132mph with still another 1500 rpm to go until redline. Again, this all seemed very easy for the car to do, and whats more the car felt rock solid at 132mph and felt as though it could easily go much faster and stay firmly planted on a country road, bumps, dips, and all. My Barracuda requires a smooth race track to go 132mph. The Challenger is heavy for a reason. A lighter car would become airborne on these rural roads I drive on. And I love how solid it is. Going over railroad tracks really tells me how solidly this car is built. Everything is screwed together very tightly. I know I will own and enjoy this car for many years.

built for comfort and for speed
traded in my 300 c luxury edition for a loaded 2020 50th wide body scat pack still have all the comforts had to give up heated and cooled cup holders I'll suffer for speed , power ,and handling very few people are cornering at over .9g and with 305 Pirelli summer tires it holds the road with the SRT pages set the car how you like to drive ,hit the gas and smile not coughing like the people in the tire smoke. LOL the extra weight and size means you have shoulder and leg room the telescopic tilt steering wheel allows the seat to be set back for people over 6 foot . with the adaptive cruse on a long trip lean back and steer let the people in front of you worry about the speed limit. Day 1 with the car 11 hours 786 miles and the smile never left my face.

Big! Comfortable! Perfect!
Reviews are usually done by idiots. This car handles much better than it is given credit for, especially in the models with a stiffer or adjustable suspension. Yeah, it's big. Like we all haven't heard THAT before. "It's a boat" "It's a tank". Yeah, and it's more comfortable than any other coupe in it's class. I have a 2017 T/A 392 (choice not available in the drop downs) with a manual transmission and it's the best, and most fun car I've ever owned. If you want a sports car, go get a Corvette or Mustang or Camaro. If you want the only real muscle car left on the market, go test drive one and you'll be surprised.

Amazing car
UPDATE: Over the course of a year, I bought several small mods (none the void the warranty) and have taken it to the drag strip several times. With just a cold air intake, exhaust, and some drag radials, this is a mid-11 second car on Great weather, and a high 11 low 12 in the summer heat and humidity. No issues with the car, despite being pushed hard. What a monster. 30,000 miles and 2 and a half years later, the car is still just as great as day one. Only bad thing is gas prices, but I guess that’s what the Prius is for. I bought my first ever muscle car this year. I debated between the mustang gt premium, the camaro ss, and the Charger as well. I test drove all three of the others and they are all great in their own ways. I hadn’t test driven a challenger and I got all my information about it from YouTube. Which was obviously plagued with “it’s so big, it’s a boat, it’s cumbersome” but really, it isn’t. My scat pack has the skinny 245’s and I will upgrade soon, but even then, this handles really well for what it is on the backroads. And you have to use backroads to get to my house. It’s fantastic for the hour long commute to and from work everyday, extremely comfortable. This is more of a Grand Tourer car than a sports car, with a beautiful 392 cubic inch v8. If you are on the fence, test drive one. And even the MPG is much better than expected. My overall average is 20.8 (sticker said 18) and the highway mpg is around 27-32mpg with the automatic. This car is so freakin great.

Challenger SXT
You don't need the bigger horse power except for maybe bragging rights. SXT 3.6 has 305 hp and 156 top speed ( don't need to go that fast anyway). I had hell cat super nice car but SXT keeps me out of trouble and still has the speed, luxury and comfort that satisfies the sport feeling

Just one word, AWESOME.
Purchased NOV 2020, Scat Pack WB and its is very comfortable, drives and handles excellent for experienced drivers, power is incredible and you smile when throttle is pressed. Features are quality and interior is roomy. I am retired and this is my 2nd one in 50 years, wow what a muscle car that is easy to enhance its performance. It is not for the meek or green crowd, just for those that want excitement and FUN. Warning, do not drive in snow.

My 2nd Challenger
Dealers kept hounding me to trade in my 2016 Challenger SXT. Due to the robust used car market, and then (Oct 2020) still available rebates and dealer discounts on the Challenger, I went for it, getting a very favorable trade in and a smoking deal on a new one. Got the same trim (SXT with V6), and same color (granite crystal) as the 2016. There are standard upgrades on the 2020 over the 2016 that I really appreciate: the larger 7 inch UConnect audio system with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and a back-up camera (mandated). Unfortunately the spare tire is gone, replaced by a fix a flat kit with compressor. Haven't put many miles on this 2020 so far (4,660), but there are no issues or problems to report, and the car has yet to be in a dealership service bay or any other maintenance facility. I've noticed that Challenger sales continue to grow, while Camaro and Mustang sales continue to slip. I think there is a reason for that. Dodge hit the bullseye with the Challenger. It's a great looking/comfortable/fun to drive car which hasn't lost its panache in nearly 13 years on the market Update 1/22/22: 7,639 miles on the odometer. Haven't had any issues. Other than an oil and filter change, and a tire rotation at one year, this car has not been in a service bay. Have zero squeaks or rattles. After 6 years behind the wheel of a Challenger, I still get a smile on my face every single time I come out of a store or restaurant and see this gorgeous ride sitting there waiting for me. Love my second Challenger!

Kowalsky's Revenge
This car is a Great value for the money!! I just bought a 2020 RT in White Knuckle with the 5.7 Hemi and the 6 speed manual gearbox. It's a blast to drive!!! Its not some Japaneze techno-dildo or Euro-trash slush-box. Its a real live American Muscle Car. Strong, Stable, Dependable, Well Built and Powerful. I feel sorry for the poorly informed little Yuppies who think that a foreign car is the way to go. Well they are wrong. The Dodge Challenger RT is a pure Joy to drive, and the technology doesn't get in the way of a good time. It handles very well. (Granted you have to possess some actual muscle in your arms, but a little masculinity is a good thing) It accelerates like a avalanche. And best of all, I can turn off the digital display and traction control with a push of a button and just use the tach, keep an eye on the oil pressure and temp gauge, and just...Drive. Other cars just seem to Vanish, at some...Point.

Performance and Comfort
This is my third Challenger, this one the R/T TA Package. I just love the retro look, comfort in the cabin since I'm 6'3, and performance this car has. This car eats up long trips and traveling at 75-80 mph this car sips gas. Great car.

If you want a muscle car replica with all the bells and whistles and amazing colors, this is the one to choose. It was not cheap but I think it’s worth every penny from the joy it brings me when I drive it, stare at it or just sit in it and play with the touchscreen and listen to music in it. I purchased a frostbite blue 2020 Challeger Rt 50th anniversary limited edition aka; the dreamweaver- makes my dreams come true

2020 anniversary scat
Hello I bought my scat at Autonation Richland Hills and I canceled my bumper to bumper and my wheel warranty about 2 weeks after my I bought my car in September 5 2020 and I have been back to the dealer 4 times about my warranty refund of $3700 and I was told that they couldn’t contact the warranty department email or by phone because of COVID-19 and still they haven’t refunded my money. I traded my Subaru sti for my scat pack and two weeks later I had my remaining warranty check from Subaru so I don’t know what to do about this it’s a lot of money it it’s been 6 months I have talked to the finance department three time and a manager there who gave me the same answer. I love my car but this is Crappy business and I have been very patient with Autonation Richland Hills if I owed them money it would been in collections 4 months ago so I’m going to return to the dealer on March 27 2021 to try again I’m not going to let them just not pay me that $3700.

WOW!
Its more of a car than the price tag dictates. It's fast off the line and I got 26.7 mpg on the highway using the MDS engine.

2020 Challenger 392 Scat Pack
Best advice is to watch as many YouTube videos as possible before you decide on the Challenger/Charger package plus any mods you may have in mind. Back in 2008 I knew then I had to have one. Recommend renting first if you're trying to decide. Best ride I've ever owned!

New 2020
Gas disappears quick, upgraded from a Chevy 2012 Cruze and I wouldn’t worry about filling my tank but I have to fill up every 2-3 days! I wish it would of came with a sunroof or blind spot monitor but I love the speed for new beginner sports car driving!!!! Fashionable and hardcore! Would recommend!

All Brawn No Beauty
2 weeks ago I drove 6 hours to Cal.to test drive a Challenger advertised on autotrader.com for $18,600. Skipping that Terribly unprofessional experience in Hemet, I'll tell you what this car isn't at all. It isn't the V6 Camaro with a much nicer interior . It isn't a VW GTI minus 85 horsepower, but with the fantastic fit/finish interior. It isn't a mustang, a perfectly designed car. What it is, is a strong engine, and not much else. Exterior styling is extremely plain and simple, the interior looks like a blind 13-year-old designed it. The doors are cheap plastic, as is EVERYTHING,& the seats are laughable at best. The dashboard sits too high and is too long, and the center console looks like it was pulled from the 1980s. Obviously this is a cash cow, since rednecks who don't expect better willing to throw money at it. I just don't get it. It's an absolute dire need of an extreme makeover inside and out. I'll save my money and go buy a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo with 250 horsepower and all-wheel drive for snow.

LoL
Well for 80. To 90 grand it should be better than all of the rest but how many can afford it I bet it will pass everything but a gas station so us average folks will have to settle for the Camaro and Mustang and be happy with that and I can live with that I have owned five Camaro’s and loved every one of them drove one to work then swapped gears Friday night and raced all weekend and no MOPOR touched her so it is what it is all cars are different it’s just your preference
Love my car

It was 95% of my expectations
With the unique color Hell Raisin, low mileage, under 14,000 and near new condition, I was excited to own. The disappointments were a small dent and a scrape, which I was told about. After a long day buying and returning home in the dark, I discovered all 4 rims were damaged around the edges. Very disheartening. I was told the dealership could fix it but it’ll be a 379 mile trip one way. Tires are in good shape. Not sure what happened. No accidents reported.
Even my wife loves it!
Bought the 2020 Challenger T/A package and it's a whole lot of car for the money! Even my wife, who was not a fan of the Challenger, loves it. Throttle response is amazing, acceleration is on point and the roar of the exhaust (factory) will grab your attention. I have had Corvette's, Camaro's and Mustang's, and this by far packs the most punch for the price. Get one, you will not be sorry you did!
