I have recently purchased my first new car all on my own and I love my new Caliber. It drives well, has good gas mileage, and looks good. As a young single mother it still gives me my youth, yet gives me all the space and accessories as a mother.

Everyone is impressed with the look of my Caliber but I always add how well the MPG is on it. The safety is high too; hopefully I won't have to test that. I love the room; I have fit 2 adults bikes in the back with no problem. Except for changing the dealer tires at 35K, I have not had an issue at all.

I loved this car for the longest time and I still do love it. But since I've gotten it, I've had several MAJOR projects done it to fix issues. Here is a short list of some of the issues and costs that I've had to endure: -Gas tank gauge overflowing and not shutting off gas pump immediately causing spill (covered under warranty) -Clock spring faulty in steering wheel and causing clicking noise whenever steering (covered under warranty) -Break squeak from worn joints (covered under -Trans Leak ($400 but tried to charge me $800) -Worn ball joints ($722) -Trans overheat causing vehicle to shut down (bringing in next week) The last 3 have happened within 4 months of each other. DO NOT BUY!

I first saw this car in a parking lot and drove strait to the Dodge dealership. It's the first "crossover" type vehicle that I've seen that made me want to trade in my gas-guzzling suv. I get lots of positive comments on the exterior styling even though it's the "base" model without all the spoilers and such. Handling is acceptable given the low end price and gas mileage is good as well. My 17 year old niece fell in love and sat in it for over an hour. Not bad considering the fact that I've owned high-end SUV's for the past 10 years!

Not too bad, good commuter car.

I've had this car over 4 years with no major issues. I currently have over 71K miles on it. Front rotors warped at 18K miles, replacement rotors have been good thus far. Fuse for sunroof went twice, that's pretty much it on the problems. Replaced tires at over 60K miles, front brakes at 70K miles. Rear brakes are still original. Acceleration is poor, ABS doesn't work AT ALL in the snow. You have to pump the brakes. Overall, it's a good commuter car for me. I do mostly highway driving. Fuel economy is not as good as they say. I average 26-27 miles per gallon. Also more spacious then it looks. My mom and I both fit in the back seat along with a child seat. Trunk door is very heavy.
