Crossfire is no misfire.
If you own an exotic such as a high end Porsche, criticizing Chrysler for shortcomings in the Crossfire series design is like taking candy from a baby. However, for a fun to drive and great looking car, it is hard to find fault in Chrysler's Crossfire. The x- fire has been fun to drive and own: I am already thinking about adding a roadster to the roster. Good going, Daimler-Chrysler!
The rocket sled!
Cornering is "on rails". Power to spare and a pleasure to drive! The German engineering is awesome with the suspension features and great styling.

MY fun car
My wife and I wanted the crossfire because we were in the market for a second sport car. We have cars designed for comfort, this car does what it was designed to do, It's fun to drive. It does it job.
No Blah Blah Here
The Crossfire is one beautiful car. I think the design is one of the best ever. I had narrowed by search down to a Crossfire, Thunderbird, or Corvette, but after driving the Thunderbird and pricing the Corvette, the Crossfire was the best choice for driving experience and price. I am happy with my decision. The Crossfire is well built, comfortable, and has a Mercedes feel. No Blah Blah here!
Always A Conversation to be Had.
What can I say? I LOVE this car. Quick, nimble, and looks that evoke countless "Nice Car" responses from people of all ages. Not the fastest nor the cheapest of the pack, but it's the one that stands out from the pack in terms of styling alone. Sound system is great. Sounds even better with an aftermarket stereo system and NO distortion at all. Engine is smooth and seats are very comfortable. I'm 5' 3" and have no issues with seating other than the occasional knee room issue if too close. All controls are within reach. Dash is uncluttered and all knobs are simple to use. WARNING...if you don't like conversation, this is NOT the car for you. I would buy this car again (this time a roadster)!
Tires
The car is fantastic. It's been a pleasure to drive and to be seen in. Not one day goes by that someone looks and smiles at the car. This is a whole new experience for me since my other car was a 318i and everybody and his brother has one of those. My only problem was finding out that 19 inch low profile back tires are hard to find replacements for in a hurry.
Wow
I've owned numerous vehicles and I have to say the Crossfire is my favorite. Everytime I've driven it ,heads turn. If imitation is the most sincere form of flattery ,just look at the new cars being offered and you'll notice a striking resemblence to the Crossfire. This was definitely a great purchase !!!!!
Mick's Second Childhood
This car is sharp! People, men and women both, approach us wherever we go to ask questions about it. They always remark how beautiful it is, and nearly always ask us to trade them vehicles. We don't!! My husband told me that driving the Crossfire made him feel like he was back in his 20's again.
After one year of Ownership
Truly a fun car to drive. Acceleration from a dead stop is amazing with the 5 Auto and the stability system to prevent loss of traction, no spinning--it just leaps forward! Hugs the road. Suspension is just firm enough. Smooth exterior lines makes hand washing easy and fast. Gets a lot of admiring looks on the road and in parking lots.
SRT6 a Blast to Drive
Purchased in June of 2006 as a new vehicle with only 90 miles on odometer. The SRT6 version is a rocket with 330 hp and supposed 0 t0 60 in 5.9 seconds. (Haven't tried that yet!) I've been very pleased with the car as a sports car. The only real complaint I have is the overall ride of the car. The suspension is very stiff and gives a bumpy ride. I will say the same suspension makes the car hug the road on curves at high speed without a glitch. I'm 6'1 and have sufficient room. Friends that are 6'4 don't have enough room. I love the car but its probably not great for long trips or everyday driving.
Grandma On "Fire"
I did not think I could be that excited about the opportunity to drive a sports car until I had an opportunity to purchase an extremely low mileage (6790 mi) 2005 RED Crossfire Ltd at a very good price for my 2nd car (Jeep 2004 Overland). Just the look of the car is awesome and it a "head turner". The ride is fairly smooth - except for those unexpected bumps in the road. It handles great. Truck space just enough and even more than I expected. Awesome!
Crossfire
Don't know why I don't see lots of these on the road. They are so fun to drive and great to look at also.
Very happy love Crossfire..
I sure have loved owning this car. There are not very many on the road and when you do see them I cant help but check out how they look on the road . I love the way it grips the road and all the control while on the road. I have owned the car for a yr and a half and usually am ready to find something new by now but this one I am nowhere near ready to give up. I look forward to driving it for at least another year or so. Thanks Chrysler for such a great looking car.
basic transportation
If you have to drive why not do it with class.I think this is a better looking car. .....not to mention the ladies love it.... the car demands attention! It looks so nice in my driveway.
2005 Crossfire STD
Comfortable/quite ride, Good handling, Well designed & built, More than adequate performance, Interior well laid-out with ample storage and plenty of room for two. Fuel consumption is good considering displacement & HP. Lots of features for a base model. Attractive unique styling. A lot of vehicle for the purchase price. Well satisfied thus far with all aspects.
smiles per dollar
for two passengers its the most fun you can have for your buck . Bystanders think its an Italian exotic ,sure its german technology ok and build but only AMERICA designs bodies that we dream about pretty soon the Japanese will start copying it the big / long nose short back classic sports coupe reminds me of another classic , oh yeah the ford mustang the crossfire has got more mustang heart than the latest mustang (re modeled 1967 ) hey and im a ford fanatic. you can say its really a SLK merc, using bits that were for the scrap pile, or just a product of a necessary marriage, between a European brand and a American giant (we would like to forget chryslers 70,s and 80,s efforts) it's right.
Great Car
After reading the reviews posted here, I started to consider the purchase of this car. I already had money down on a Porsche Boxster, but figured it would'nt hurt to peruse the Chrysler dealership. To see the car in person was impressive, to test drive the car was awesome. Granted, it's no track ready, street legal sports car, but that is not what I was looking for. It's fun to drive, handles like a dream, and corners on rails. Needless to say, I cancelled my Porsche order, bought a Crossfire and have been loving every minute of it. This is not a daily driver, but could manage the task just fine.
Crossfire on target!
The car is all premium, feels and drives like a luxury car. If you want a fun car to drive and only drive you won't be wrong with this one. Very unique gets a lot of attention too. If you are looking to buy one, don't buy it, don't wanna a see too many on the road.
It's underated by many
My dad owns this car, and I've become a big fan of it. A lot of people down the Crossfire because of its 215 hp as opposed to the 350z's 300hp. It also loses in its 0-60 time about around .5 seconds or less. I blame this on the very poor first gear of the car, it's week and short. But other than that all of the other gears feel torquey and strong...and with the good suspension and huge tires think twice before you down this car. People also fail to realize it has more torque than it does hourses, unlike most other 6cl cars. It takes some bumps hard but the seats are comfortable and the sound system and toys are also really good. I also very much like the exterior design.
Excellent
This is a great riding car, I have driven 280 miles since I purchased the car five day ago, and I still have 1/2 tank of gas.
fun fun fun
Car has been a blast to drive, get compliments all the time. And for what you pay for these now there is no comparison. Great car!
