First American Auto Experience

With a new family, we felt it important to get a minivan. Got a great deal on a Venture. My wife and I have never owned an American vehicle, and frankly are not used to the # of times we've had to take it in for non-scheduled service. So far, we've had 3 recalled parts, a faulty fuel gauge, and several build-quality issues with accecories (window latches, lighter outlet, etc.) Though it drives nicely, I'm growing weary of seeing the service dept (though they have been wonderful). If problems continue, a trade-in for a Siena or Honda is imminent....

It's very fuel efficient for a minivan. It has great acceleration, and traction. It's very roomy, and comfortable on the inside. Overall it has done its job well. The only negative would be that apparently it has cooling and heating issues from manufacturer.

A great van

Great vehicle to drive, performs very well. I have owned and driven two other models of vans, this one takes the cake. Doesn't seem like your driving a "van". Comfortable and reliable. No mechanical problems. Did have to replace brake shoes twice.

Much quieter ride than my Chrysler Mini- Van. I drove it from coast to coast and experienced no problems great fuel economy. Definitely like the load leveling suspension when loaded down.

We bought this minivan used in '05 for $5000 with 77,000 miles on it. Excellent paint job- little to no rust for a 11 yr old New England van! We've put on 35,000 miles in 2.5 yrs of owning it and spent $5000 in repairs including an engine rebuild and power steering work. That was largely the result of purchasing from an unscrupulous dealer. After the initial expenses, the minivan has done amazingly even in VT winters and I have used it extensively. It came with a roof rack, keyless entry, power windows and cruise control. Assuming if I can keep its annual repair costs under $ 1000, I will keep this car until the rust takes it down!
