Bad door locks It is a 2017
I traded in my lease (equinox) for a Trax. I really like it as I am getting over 34 mpg, sometimes 37. PROBLEM is door locks started to mess up, Took it in and they had it 2 weeks. Had it out 2 weeks and it started again plus security alarm went off when I opened the door. They have now had it 2 weeks again. They told me that they had only 2 other cars that did that.!!!!!!!! This is a lease and I am making payments on a car I can not drive. I have a large family and they all drive G,M. cars plus my father worked at G.M. for over 30 years. HELP HELP

Horrible front seats and engine, transmission
Payed almost $30000.00 for this...Front drivers seat is going bad at 3700 miles on it. Creaks and makes loud cracking noises and the bottom of the seat foam has gone flat, uneven, and collapsed all ready. Engine is a dog at best, makes a load awful grinding noise at start up and the transmission upshifts all the time when accelerated. All wheel drive system has turned off for no reason when driven in the snow and the traction control still is working even when it has been turned off with the manual button. Body is creaking over wavy type deviations in the road. Gas milage is 17.4 mpg which is horrible. Ride quality has deteriorated in 3700 miles and rides like a wooden wagon. Don't buy stay away GM is still junk even after they were bailed out buy the tax payer and then we're supposed to make quality vehicles, well no they are still junk. I expect this vehicle to be traded in two years so I can get in to a quality vehicle. Update for 2022 January. Car still has issues and ended up suing GM with the Lemon Law in my state and one was able to get back 20% of the car because they deemed it 75% a lemon. Newest thing with 58,000 miles on it is exhaust leak and I got a notice from GM about purge valve and Emissions problems an extended warranty on that but basically don't recommend the car stay the hell away from it worst POS I've ever owned.

POS, nothing but issues
I bought this car April of 2017, I loved it at first. Winter of 2018/19 the problems began. My check engine light came on and she began to lose power. Brought it into the dealership and this particular dealership told me it was my turbo, but my drive train warranty wouldn't cover it. I was told that I bought a "warm weather" vehicle-in Wisconsin. I refused them fixing it and called the dealership I bought it from, at this time there was a special service recall for the purge valve. I brought it to them to replace that and find out what was wrong with the vehicle. Turns out at this time it was not my turbo- I had an oil and air leak. They fixed this and I was good for a while. Then my check engine light came back on and it was a different code, showing it was my cats, by this time I was out of warranty so trying to figure out the best pricing for a fix, during this time It started popping the code again for the oil and air leak, we fixed that again, and that worked for a few months until it did it again. After tons of research I found this to be normal and it was that the intake cover warped. Purchased an aluminum one and has been fine ever since. I also purchased some universal cats since I didn't want to put 800 into one and 500 into the other (that's the parts) but we never got around to replacing them, I received a letter in the mail from chevy that yet again there is a special service, not a full recall- but this time it was the turbo, so the original dealership 3 years earlier already knew there was a problem with the turbos. However, I'm still battling the turbo issue because the bulletin came out after I was over 120,000 miles. I have been battling this same issue for 4 years and chevy only has it as a special service not a full recall. Chevy knows they have issues with this vehicle and they are not fixing them. I have loved chevy but this makes me want to switch completely since they cannot stand behind the known issues they are having.
