Not worth the buy
if you’re wondering why so many people have bad reviews on this little suv trust me it’s all engine, the suv is cute and fun all for the 4 cylinders. But it is not worth it I bought my 2017 trax in June/2019, with only 34000 miles on it, not bad. But literally two weeks from driving it out the check engine light came on, okay took it in they kept it for 3 weeks!! Sheesh, they “replaced” the battery because the truck was turning off due to battery acid leaking in a module?!? Okay so then I take it out and I go pump gas and my truck again starts turning off after ever gas pump, it goes back in for about. Week and a half, and they had the audacity to tell me I must have pumped the wrong type of gas because it had too much ethanol, they couldn’t prove this to me although they kept saying I must have done it, $400 to empty and refill the gas tank -.- I asked for the proof, and they brought me some gasoline in a water bottle. I did not pump the wrong gasoline I’ve been driving different vehicles for 6 years now and I’ve never pumped the wrong gasoline. I took it to a mechanic for a diagnostic, and the mass air flow sensor, a valve cover, and evap solenoid, I JUST GOT THIS CAR, I’m making payments on a vehicle that keeps breaking down.

I love my 2017 Chevrolet Trax
I bought my 2017 Chevrolet Trax new and still have it 4 years later. I have never had any problems with it. Very comfortable and handles great.

Making Trax
No issues since the turbo was replaced. City driving averages around 25. Highway is 3. Make sure the size is right for you. We understood the size of the car and what we were going to do with it. I don't quite understand all of the negativity is about this. Car seems solid. It won't break any speed records but it handles just fine. The transmission works fine but does like to keep in a high gear to maximize fuel economy. We don't regret buying it for my wife after three weeks... Update: the check engine light has come on twice. The first resulted in a sensor fix. The second? A blown turbo that is now on backorder for over 40 days. Still waiting for the part.

Nothing but trouble
This car has been one issue after another! I bought it for brand new with 10 mi on it from the dealer in Valparaiso,Indiana... Had one recall for the control arm, I had to replace tires at 27,000 miles... Was told it's the way I drive that caused my tires to wear down. At 38,000 mi I had a purge valve sensor go bad and again at 45000 mi I had the same sensor go bad, luckily Chevy knows this is a problem and paid for the parts. At around 52,000 miles I had a leak in a tube that goes to the turbo... This was a $1,000 repair that I had done by a local mechanic because the dealership wanted to charge $1,800. And now at 67,000 mi my turbo has went out.... Another $1,500 expense done by a local mechanic because the dealership wanted to charge $2,400. Beware these cars are junk.... I am a die-hard Chevy lover but I think this is my last one!
