Chevy Trax
This car is too small, doesn’t fit car seats, can’t fit 3 normal size people in the back. It is really uncomfortable, there is only one arm rest in the front and there isn’t even a CD player. I regret this car purchase so much and really disappointed. I’m counting down the days until I can get something better. For the price it is not worth it all. This should not be considered an SUV!!!

Loved it until...
I bought the 2015 model used in 2018 from the dealership for 15K with one previous owner, about 50K miles. It was a small SUV, easy to maneuver and park, I loved being a bit higher up that the sedans I was used to. Loved the rear back up camera. The squeaking breaks were my only complaint at first. I hardly drive, only putting about 13K miles on, total. I loved it for a few years, it was the perfect size for just me and my partner. I took it to the dealership religiously for maintenance. Then in mid 2021 it started to rev, shake and buck while accelerating and struggled going up a slight incline, it could not keep speed on the highway. The engine light would come on and then start to flash. I took it back to the dealership and they said the Turbo would need replaced, it would cost about 2K. Who has 2K to spend on one part on a 6 year old car? I could buy another car for that. I did some internet research and found 2011 and 2015 models have widespread reports of turbo issues, and it seems like that is just the start of the problems from other reviews. I have decided to cut my losses and trade it in, the dealership will fix the turbo and resell it. I sincerely hope the next owner gets several good years out of my poor little Trax!

Would not even give it 1 star
This is the biggest heap of junk I have ever owned. The only good thing about are the comfortable seats and that's only in the upright position. Since I have owned the car, these are the problems I have had. Second year of owning it, I had to replace the bearings. It just quit functioning while I was driving on the turnpike, which the steering locked up and I was barely able to get off of the road. The garage told me it was because I didn't change my oil. Um, just changed it less than 6 months prior and was under the mileage, but OK. Then found out the miraculously water got into the engine. (Mechanics didn't do something right during maintenance). $900.00 tow bill and they charged me for the rental. Bearing replacement $300.00. Car never drove correctly. Traction light kept coming on, then the check engine light. First it was pulling back during acceleration or it would falter and then lunge forward. Fast forward 3 months later and the turbo went. Took it to a different dealer garage and the turbo was fixed. Not even 8 months later it is ready to blow again. Starting to do the same exact thing. Transmission lines blew while I was traveling from work. Had them replaced and thank goodness the transmission didn't blow. But not even 2 weeks out of the shop and the check engine light is on again. I have had to have this vehicle towed 3 times!!!! Heater and air conditioner went. Valve went. DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A TRAVELER. I only have 91, 000 miles on this vehicle and it has cost me more in repairs than any other vehicle I have owned! ABSOLUTLY THE WORST VEHICLE EVER MADE!!!

Was Good Until...
I bought a used 2015 Chevy Trax in 2017 with about 30k miles on it, and I was happily surprised by how zippy it was. It was great for a city commuter, and wasn't terrible for road trips either, despite not having cruise control. It handled well in snow, too. At about 80k miles, the check engine light came on. Shortly after it was repaired in a certified repair shop, the check engine light came on again. Then again. All fingers seemed to point to the turbo having repeated issues that would continue to return after a few thousand miles. Fast-forward to today, my 2015 Chevy Trax is still having issues with the check engine light and the turbo. I recently had the 100k service performed at a Chevy dealership, and that seems to have caused the turbo problems to return. My Trax is in the shop yet again, and the problem is the turbo... again. I'm very disappointed that my Chevy Trax is a lemon, and I am tired of sinking thousands of dollars for repairs into it, especially considering I barely have over 100k miles on it. This could have been a great little commuter vehicle, and I was really hoping I could have gotten more life out of it. Now I am under water on it, and still paying for repairs. The reliability of the 2015 Chevy Trax has proven to be a complete disappointment, and I would not recommend it to anybody.

Love all the compartments!
Bought this based on an ad for lots of compartments up front for the driver. Love love this feature. Not too happy with acceleration nor gas mileage. Storage is small but knew that up front. Not too happy with the touch radio system. Would prefer the “old fashion way”. Would like a second arm rest up front for the passenger.
