Great for the 7 days it was on the road

Transmission failure left me on the side of the road at 600 miles. Dealer attempted fix but vehicle had pronounced transmission whine and smelled like burnt parts after driving. Back with the dealer now for another repair. At this point I'll have been in a loaner vehicle as long as I was in my Traverse. Isolated case? Maybe, but at this point I'd have a better review of my Malibu loaner.

I couldn't really give honest answers to some of the questions because I have only owned this vehicle for a week. This is my second Traverse. My first was a 2011 and I loved it. Nothing but routine maint. on the 2011 so I'm hoping for the same on the 2019. I DO like the new one better than the 2011. Plenty of get up and go. Handles well. Very comfortable, especially, on long trips. Plenty of room. I would definitely recommend this vehicle. My only disappointment is that there is less U.S. made content in this vehicle than the 2011. My traverse is now three years old and I have no issues or problems.

The blind side warning monitors do not make a sound, which is crazy. They do in most other manufacturers vehicles. I hope they upgrade the software to do it.

After test driving it overnight, we fell in love with the power; fuel efficiency and interior comfort it provides. The over all look and feel is amazing. You know the saying, “Happy wife happy life.” My wife was in awe with the comfort and room. I was impressed with the infotainment system and alll the USB ports. NO need for the kids fighting over charging! 100% satisfied.

So there is a known defect with Chevy where your message center tells you to shift to park when your car is in park. It will not allow you to shut the vehicle off because it does not recognize that it already is. I love the look of this car but think it ridiculous that this defect will cost you$400 to repair and is not covered if your car has 35k miles. My car was purchased new and has 38 k miles when this defect occurred. The manufacturer will not cover it and after doing some research, it’s across a few Chevy models so buyer beware. It’s obviously a maker defect and ridiculous that the consumer needs to absorb this cost.
