First SUV

I initially looked at minivans (Sienna, Odyssey, and Routan), but was intrigued when I saw the traverse. All it took was one test drive, and I was sold. I guess I wasn't ready to go the minivan route=) The Traverse rides like a car and is as smooth as can be. I love the back-up camera, back-up sensors, and the blind spot area of the side mirrors. Due to 2 young kids, I had to have the captain's chairs for easy access to the 3rd row seats. It is one of the most spacious interiors for a midsize suv that was on the market. I give it 2 thumbs up.

First Chevy Ever - Happy I did

This is my first venture into a Chevy (or any GM car). We have been a Subaru family, but now that a third kid is on the way we needed a third row. We are one of the no-minivan families. Captains chairs in the middle were a must since you can't get to the third row if you have car seats on the middle row. Extremely safe - avoided 2 accidents already (northeast has slippery weather). I never had traction control before and it saved me prob $15,000 accident. Drives great with wonderful pickup - big engine and 6 speed helps a lot with that. Very little road noise. Mileage is pretty good (16 MPG with little highway) thanks to switching to AWD only when it needs it. Highly Recommended!

traded in 05 Uplander van for 10 Travers

The minivan had high miles, AC, door issues, and showing transmission issues plus we were tired of no tow power and also of 'mom' van image. Traverse is all the Uplander was not. Great incentives, design and features, dealer added bluetooth and remote start. We added 2-tone black/gray leather seats, heat warmers and DVD player as dealer after-market installs.. that's the way to go folks! Custom leather design for no more money and to my taste and better quality leather. Just wish center row seats were removable or easier to get to 3rd row for my teenagers.

Great but the milage

We bought our Traverse about 5 months ago and love it. With the second row captain's chairs there is little difference in space when compared to our previous minivan. The ride is comfortable and quiet, and the power is there when you need it. We use it to tow a 24 ft trailer (3700 lbs dry) - it tows it no problem, but you can feel the trailer behind you. Over all we are very happy with the vehicle, the only complaint would be the mileage. When we first bought it we were getting no where near the advertised mpg. However, now that we've put 5,000 on the vehicle the mileage is improving. I can now get the advertised mileage on the hwy if I drive 60 - 65+ and the mileage drops dramatically.

Growing family. Researched Odyssey, Sienna, Acadia, Enclave. Chevy has done an exceptional job melding family car practicality and economy with cool car styling and pep together into one. My wife and I LOVE driving it, kids seem happy too. Traverse is the perfect fit for us based on style, comfort options and cost. "Like a minivan buts its not", is the best way to put it. Had to punch it while merging to avoid a big rig there was no problem, lots of pep, even felt sporty. Excellent safety! extremely low road noise even with the dual sunroofs. Bose sound system is totally worth your dollar. The DVD system is awesome, keeps the kiddos so happy on the road. It felt good to buy American.
