Serious rust
I purchased a certified 2015 Tahoe LTZ with 30,000 miles on it in 2017. Within the last year my rocker panels, dogleg door jams and front fenders behind the front tires has rusted through from the inside. Since the car has 130,000 highway miles on it now, GM refuses to do anything about the serious rust problem stating it is out of warranty, but did suggest I talk to my dealer to see what they can do. My dealer LaFontaine in Highland also refused to help me out. I have owned Yukon, and two other Tahoes, a 2007 and a 2010. I put on similar amount of miles and time owned with no rust issues. It appears to me that GM is going back to the 70’s when they didn’t protect the metal used in making this vehicle. What’s a shame is that I have been a loyal GM customer for most of my 70 Years on earth, but will be looking for another brand in the future.
