I love my Suburban!

I read Jen's review and while the sunroof leak is regrettable, it sounds to me like the dealership is the real problem. That is unfortunate. My Z71 4WD Suburban has performed flawlessly, providing reliable service day after day. I drive ranch roads and tow a boat and do a fair amount of highway driving. lots of different surfaces and conditions, and this vehicle carries me everywhere in comfort AND holds everything I can stuff into it. I've had no problems whatsoever and have complete confidence in the Suburban. If you can stand the gas mileage - you don't buy a Suburban to get great mileage - then I highly recommend this great truck. And no, I don't sell them.

$60,000 Suburban with cracked dash

I bought this SUV new in 2013 even though it was a 2012 for $60,000. I got a standard 3 year warranty from the dealership, Bob Steele Chevolet. Within a few months of warranty expiring my dash cracked in 2 places. Over the instrument panel and most seriously beside my airbag. Chevrolet company just said it was not a safety issue and could help cause I was out of warranty. NO WONDER THEY ONLY OFFER A 3 YEAR WARRANTY! The dealership tried to be sympathetic and said they would see what they could do but it wasn't their problem, they had MANY customers with the same problem! I find it hard to believe that THOUSANDS of buyers with the same problem can be wrong. There is even a Facebook page for Chevrolet Boken Dashes! Don't think because you pay a great deal of money for a SUV its going to be better than the cheaper one, or the company will treat you better. My family has always owned chevys, now because of their indifference to customers and REAL problems with their vehicles, my future cars will be imports! Don't buy ANY Chevrolet without checking online about defects they refuse to fix or even recognize. This is a problem with many models over many years! Sad when a company puts money over safety!

We are very happy with our new Suburban LTZ. We were able to get one of the last 2010 models. So far, everything is great. Impressed with the NAV, particularly compared to our Acura MDX. OnStar is also impressive, but a bit expensive once the free trial is up. Very smooth ride, quiet, and a great sound system. Sufficient power and the cylinder management really seems to help with gas mileage. It is a big car, so it takes time to get used to the braking. We now have plenty of room for the kids and dog.

I am pushing 60 years old and am in construction. I have bad knees and refused to buy a pickup truck and climb in and out of the back . I had a 2001 Suburban and it was one of my favorite all time work vehicles. It had 218,000 miles on it and ran like new .Decided to buy something newer so I bought a 2013 Suburban LTZ with 117k on It 5.3 motor. It is a little bit expensive and too nice to probably work out of but they are hard to find without a ton of miles on them . From what I see the people that have them keep them till they are well used . They are a little more money then a quad cab truck but your tools stay dry and safe. With my bad knees I can usually reach my stuff from either the back or sides without having to climb in on my knees. I don’t think I would ever buy a new one as the price is as much as a house . Anyone spending that kinda money on a car is going to take good care of it . Knowing that a used one is going to be better than a pickup truck that has been abused. I’ve had a 2007 Ford Expedition EL and a Ford Excursion V10 . I will stick with My Suburban for the nice ride and gas mileage. I did put a Active Fuel Management Disabler on it because I didn’t like it kicking from 4 to 8 cylinders all the time . Huge difference. Very nice ride and good power Love my land yacht .
