Review

I feel like it meets all my needs. I dont drive to far places and I dont take lots of people around town with me. It runs good, not fast, but good. it is comfortable and sporty. I like it.

Best Features

Wheels, color, extened cab for golf clubs and comfort.

Worst Features

Engine needs a power upgrade. more standard power options.

Review

I bought this truck used so i can get
around to and from work and haul
somethings here and there. i think that
the vortec V6 is a great engine, it has
alot of power and it does respond good.i
havent had any problems as of yet, except
for the interior rattling like crazy. i
have now owned a ford and a chevy and i
must say that i think a ford is built
much better. i never had the ford rattle
and squeak like this s-10 and i hear its
a common problem with them.i will tell
you this i will never buy a chevy truck
again.

Best Features

vortec V6,interior looks good

Worst Features

everything except the vortec V6. if you want to buy a s-10 dont, buy something else.

Review

I bought this S-10 with the 2.2L/5
Speed - yet otherwise it's loaded even
to having the premium CD player audio.
The 4 Cyl is okay power-wise once you
realize it comes alive up in the rev
band when you need to accelerate. The
A/C all but kills the poor engine
however - but it does blow ice cubes.
There is enough room for my 6'1" self -
the bonus of the lower seating. For
me, of course the seat is jammed fully
back without the luxury of reclining -
so I don't use those break-prone
parts... of course my lumbar support
is long gone. The seats are too hard.
The wiper control issue is a major
safety problem! Positives are great
economy and solid body at 100K+

Best Features

Solid tight chassis @100K+ miles and excellent fuel economy top my list. The 4 cyl power is better than expected if you keep the revs up. Nice paint job and better than expected room are a major plus. I like the retained power for the radio - along with the automatic exit lamps.

Worst Features

The windshield wiper issue should be a recall issue. Better interior materials and hardware (doors rattle from the factory stereo - yet never from the hardest bumps). The A/C should not choke even the high- reving/limited low-end torque 4 cylinder as much as it does.

Review

This is my second S-10 and have been
very happy with it, I have had more
minor issues with this one all
mentioned already. lumbar, seat
adjusters, 3rd door handle and
ignition wires have all broken at
least once most several times dealer
support varies depending on the
milage. but it gets great millage for
a truck always around 23mpg and
handles great very comfortable.
exterior remains in great shape, even
after fairly heavy work use. the 4
cyl. is fine to get around but would
be wise to go with 6 if you will be
haulling or towing much

Best Features

Extended cab gives you great added room though the jump seat doesn't provide any comfort to anyone so pretend it isn't there

Worst Features

Chevy needs to listen to their die hard loyal customers concerns about quality on minor parts. these simple things shouldn't break, they are poorly engineered to low tolarances. It's A truck man, lets make it stay together.
