Very disappointed

My Impala LT does not have a split rear seat, therefore, I will not be able to access my cables in the trunk should I have a dead battery. There is no trunk key and the inside trunk release is connected to battery power. Extremely poor design. This is the last GM car I will ever purchase after having GM's for 45 years. Toyota here I come.

I am very impressed. Have found nothing wrong with the car. I have owned 7 Corvettes. This is my wifes car and it impresses me with the Vette like performance prior to 1997. We bought an Impala LS in 2000, but this one puts it to shame. I look forward to driving it when my wife lets me. Chevrolet has outdone itself and has a winner here. I love the polished aluminum wheels and the exhaust rumble. Fantastic automobile!

Impala - One ups itself

After owning a 2003 Impala, I stepped up and bought into the new SS body style and design. I can say from the test drive I was hooked. The styling, performance and overal experience was better than I could have imagined. My 2003 was pleasing over the three years I owned it. This 2006 already has the comfortable feel of a well used ball glove. Power, handling, and styling this car has it all. Within the first week, I can't count the number of people that have come over to take a look and the car. Every one has made comments to the styling of the SS. Once again I am sold.

I bought this Impala LT1 in July '06. It now has 8600 miles and still never went to the dealer for even a minor ajustment or anything. I get 25-26mpg with AC but 33 with AC off. Great gas mileage with like a full size car and great value with the rebates and 5%rebates on the GM card. it was cheap. Mine is white with grey cloth buckets with a rare Bose option and XM radio, flip fold rear seats. Just perfect. Try it, you will like it.
