My new 2011 2.4L 2LT HHR
I like this car. But Edmunds only lists the 2.2L engine with Man trans. I got the 2.4L with 4 spd auto. Interior is hard plastic, but leather seats are good. Mileage is 27 mpg avg. I downsized from a Mini Van. After purchase, started noticing so many HHRs out there. Rear view camera is valuable. I got 2LT pack, like the 17" wheels, seems very solid, lots of sound deadening material. Practical design, fold flat seats good. Windshield not very high, but got used to it quickly as did with steer by wire steering. All in all, I'd say give this a look. At least it doesn't look like all the rest of small suvs. Lots of aftermarket stuff to add on.
Great Chevy Car/SUV & Gas Saver!
This car has truly exceeded our expectations. We have owned it for almost 3,000 miles now in just under 2 months and this car has been great on gas and has a very smooth ride with good handling. We use the HHR as our business car for hauling items and shipments. Our website business, Wonder Buy Shop, has had other work cars available but we mainly use the HHR because it has the smoothness of a car with the functions of an SUV. Personally I've had BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Honda and other cars but the HHR has been great on gas and the features are perfect for what we need with Bluetooth, OnStar, Automatic and more. Thanks to Chevy for making a real economic and fun car/SUV to drive!
HHR rocks
The car is a great run around car for local traveling. Easy to park and great on fuel mileage. We have owned two and would buy another if they still produced them.

Great Car for Price - Sorry it's Being Discontinued
Overall a really great car. It looks better, is more fun to drive, and has better cargo storage than comparable cars. It's rare to get a hatchback in this price with masculine design lines. Most look so feminine/cute/wimpy. With huge rebates in place now because 2011 is the last model year, this is a great deal.
Great Car for Junkyard
Had this car for almost 2 years and the engine blew due to a faulty oil return. I tried contacting Chevy and they did nothing for me. I did like the look of the outside but the inside lacked a few things for me. The stereo was below average and the speakers were ok. The ride height is no good if you live where snow could get above 3 inches. The travel through winter was scary as the HHR would sometimes slide and when that would happen the back end would go all over, no exaggeration. I even tried to put a 50lb bag of sand in the back for added weight but that did no good. The head room was there but shoulder and leg room was a bit on the smaller side. Vehicle steering response was decent. Braking wasn’t horrible but not the best. When doing 75mph it seemed the engine was over working. I will say one thing, if you just need a car to go back and forth and you do almost no highway driving then the HHR may be an ok car. Gas mileage was great though.
