Used 2011 Chevrolet Equinox Consumer Reviews
2011 Chevy Equinox: A review
In December of 2009 I bought my wife an '08 Trailblazer. It was awesome. It was perfect for vacations (we go camping alot in the Adirondacks) it could pull a boat, and was a beast in the snow. In March of 2011, my wife would not stop complaining about gas mileage of the Trailblazer, thus we traded it in for a 2011 Equinox.
Very good car!
I bought an LT2 V6 Equinox. I've had this car for a few months now and am still enjoying it. Just the right amount of hp and torque to go through the yellow lights and entering the highway. Averaging about 19.6 mpg each tank, which beats my old car at 15mpg.

2011 4 AWD Equinox MPG TERRIBLE FALSE ADVERTISING
I'm 60 years old. I've been around and have worked on cars ALL my life. I presently collect and restore my own muscle cars, have about 40. I bought this Equinox hoping to get at least NEAR the advertised MPG which is does not. I've yet to get 22 MPG. I phoned GM and was told to give it 3500-5000 miles and mileage should increase. I understand the computer controls the break in period and this are supposed to improve, but at 3800 miles so far they have not. I don't want any suggestions or reasons, I know them all, believe me. I'm going to take a loss and get rid of this car and get something else this week. I would be willing to start a class action law suit if there are any attorneys reading
Love this car!
Bought a 2011 Equinox 2LT AWD 4 cylinder in Oct 2010 to replace a 2004 Tahoe Z71. Yes, quite a difference but I was so surprised at the interior space. There is actually more legroom in the backseat than the Tahoe. Took some getting used to a 4cyl vs the 8cyl I had been driving. Definately not the car to use to make a fast getaway. My only disappointment is the MPG. I was told that I would get 23 city/29 highway. Wrong! 18 city/23highway. Better MPG than the Tahoe, but still not what I was looking for. The ECO button really made no difference, so I've stopped using it.
Regret buying
After driving a Lexus RX350, I wanted a similiar size vehicle w/ better gas mileage and lower payments. I definitely got the lower payments, but was suckered on the gas mileage. Lexus got around 22 mpg & after driving the Equinox 10 months now, I'm lucky to get 24mpg. I even bought the 4 cyl to improve gas mileage and this was also a huge mistake b/c it has absolutely no power. Visiblility is horrible in the rear and side. Interior controls for door locks aren't even on the doors, which is very awkward. Cruise control switch is also poorly placed on the steering wheel and very easy to accidently switch off when driving. I'm already looking to sell this vehicle and go back to an import
