Please Consider a Safer Vehicle

Okay, the pros. Roomy interior and exterior is sleek looking. That's it. Six months ago I purchased the cheap plastic crap and in the past month I've had to have the high pressure fuel pump replaced. Then the vehicle has died on me three times in the past week with absolutely NO WARNING. I've driven vehicles for 13 years and never had a vehicle die on me while I was going 65 on the highway. I've never been so scared in my life. This thing can absolutely get you killed. I'm willing to go negative equity and trade this junk in. PLEASE DO NOT BUY. I feel so stupid for purchasing this vehicle and you should listen to the reviews on this site and every other site. I learned that after 100k this thing will absolutely become a freaking money pit. stay away.

Engine noise at start up

Noticed loud rattle upon start up. Sounds like valve lifters getting no oil for a few seconds. Had 4000 miles on car, took to Chevy dealer, he recommended changing break in oil and kept car overnight to listen to noise. Said he heard noise, but put otherwise on invoice??? If Equinox keeps this up now at 6000 miles I will start to battle with the folks on the complaint line. I previously had a Chevy Colorado of which 2 cylinder heads had to be replaced(factory defect) which they would not admit to, so this is how GM is.

Bought a 2011 Equinox LTZ in November of 2020 with 48k miles. I haven’t even put 2500 miles on it yet, and I have already had the catalytic converters replaced. My mechanic is trying to get the okay for the engine to be completely replaced because this engine burns oil like no other. Dealership where it was purchased from doesn’t care one bit. In the past two and a half months, it has sat in my driveway or at the mechanic’s for almost 4 weeks. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!

JUNK JUNK JUNK

I inherited my 2011 equinox from my mother when she died. She bought this new. Then I took the vehicle over have had it 3yrs and have had nothing but problems. The gas lines went bad. Timing chain went out, traction control issues, the check engine light won't go off, and the CV joints went bad. I will never by another GM vehicle. All these vehicles should have been recalled and bought back. I hate you GM what an awful product you have produced then rip us all off.
