The only dislike I have is I don't really care too much for the the auto stop. When the car shuts down on it's own. It scared me at first, now I am more used to it. I assume most newer cars have this feature. This is a very comfortable smooth driving car. I was very surprised with how quickly this car can accelerate and take off. I wasn't expecting that from a 4 cylinder. We purchased the turbo ls. The handling is great. Visibility is good, but the camera helps out with reverse. I could see where it would be a little difficult to judge with out the back camera. I give this car an excellent rating and would recommend them to anyone. Chevy never disappoints.

Rides great, great space for a small car, interior looka great very easy to drive around and make turns. Cons i had a check engine light at 30k miles, very slow/very slow laggy acceleration, randomly shut off once, and has a leak from the rear window possible poorly sealed from factory.

Never buy a chevy. They don't back their cars and there is a reason. My son bought a 2016 chevy cruze, new, with a loan. BIG mistake. It has 60000 miles but before it reached that, it has broken down at least 5-6 times due to computer going crazy, and not allowing it to work. They bring it in , chevy tries to charge under warranty, then they say they fixed it or don't have parts yet, come back later, (like when it goes over 60000 miles). Now, just over 60 the water pump broke, a $700 fix, and they never fixed all the other problems. When they first bought the car, it had a computer glitch, so they took the first new car back and gave them a second one, this one, that is a piece of xxxT. Do your homework before you even think about getting a chevy unless you want to spend your time on the side of the road, or in the car shop, and you want to go broke. This is a young couple, just trying to work and get ahead. They should not have bought a new car to begin with but you'd think at least they would have a reliable car for a few years to get to work. Not with a chevy. Buy toyota, they stand behind their cars for the most part, and had at least 4 of them, they work and don't send send you to the poor farm like these two people. I wouldn't take a chevy if you gave it to me for free....and i am totally serious, not a joke. Why can't American's make a decent car? i think it has something to do with what they can get away with, that other companies from outside the USA can not. Just a theory.

Bought the car a year ago but too many recall and alternator broke after 7k miles. Recently, the car failed to start and after 15 minutes the car start. Two weeks after that happen, it happened again. This time, it takes an hour to start but engine lights on. I called Chevy Roadside Assistance and advise ok to drive for a certain miles. So I drive on my way home, car shut off in the middle of the road while driving. I was driving about 35 mph, the car rolling about 50 yard and start again by it self. Its scarry and dangerous, luckily theres no one in front of me or did not go in the freeway. The car has 3 recall, so far the car runs great and no problem.

It is decent except for Auto Stop

I really wanted to like this car but I don't...This car is fairly decent BESIDES the auto stop mandatory "feature".. Every other manufacturer gives the driver the ability to disable this feature, however, in the Cruze you are forced to deal with the engine shutting off at red lights, city driving, every stop sign, etc. This feature claims to save a whopping 1mpg, its so not worth it. There have been instances where it is hot out and my car shuts off for a few seconds and then you have to wait for the ac to kick back on, if it's cold and your windows are fogging up and you are desperately trying to see, DON'T WORRY IT WILL SHUT OFF AND MAKE YOUR WINDOWS FOG BACK UP. This car overall isn't terrible, it's painfully plain, but not terrible. The turbo does a decent job at accelerating however driving a car in basically the same price range, the Jetta, offers the same size engine, but the performance in the Jetta is waaaaaay better. Also the Cruze was recalled for a roof leaking issue, mine leaked in the car wash and the dealership tried to shampoo the cardboard-like headliner and it basically looks like damp paper now. The speakers in the LS + LT without bose are terrible, they are not loud, they pop almost instantly after and the dealer will "test them" by basically turning up your radio all of the way , which in turns blows all of your speakers and tells you there is nothing wrong with them. Chevy dropped the ball with this second generation model.. The fuel economy is nothing to brag about either
