Performance bargain
The smart money buys an older garage queen with very low miles. I bought my 2010 with just 9500 miles from new at 7 years old for almost half the cost of a new one. Independent rear suspension with a big V8 is a winning combination. Handling in surprisingly good on the twisty roads. Visibility is poor on these cars but you can get used to it and it improve your spacial awareness. Car is comfortable on long journeys with a great sound system. Buy the 2SS if you can.
Exceptional for it's purpose
The 2010 Camaro LT is powerful in its V6 form, though leaves some torque to be desired. It's a very heavy car but it hugs the road and takes corners surprisingly well. The vehicles interior is the standard with Chevrolet, on the cheaper side compared to its European contemporaries but it is suiting to the cars looks, very comfortable, and easy to maintain and keep clean. The vehicle has given me a few electrical issues but never anything extremely hard to fix, and never any engine trouble. The XM radio antenna developed a leak into the vehicle around 60,000 miles which caused a conflagration of electrical issues in the cabin area because of water penetration. I am an owner in Washington state so rain is common and constant. The dealership and Chevrolet refused to assist me with the issue because it falls outside the warranty, beware this manufacturing defect.

2000 miles through,wind,rain, and snow
I rented a v6 Camaro. Drove with 2 adults and 2 children. Trunk held kids luggage, gifts, and overnight bags for adults. I moved drivers seat up for passenger. Drove that way for 3 hours no issue. teens were good to go in the back seat. Drove through nasty weather from Seattle down I-5 over to Hwy 101 to San Fran with 2 adults. Standing water, high winds, and heavy rain. Car handle well and was fun drive through the twisties on 101. Seat comfort is ok. 4'11 wife could see over door sills. V-6 has plenty of power, It'll pin you to your seat. Drove through Yosemite and 80 miles of snow at 5000+ft. Slow going with chains but no issues. Adjust mirrors be careful backing up, blind spots.
PAINT CHIPS!!!
I have wanted a Camaro since the Movie Transformers came out.. I love the look of the car . It is completely sexy and hot!... However, I have had my Camaro for 2 months and every single time I wash it or inspect it, I find more and more paint chips.. It is so disappointing.. I don't tail other drivers and I park in the nose bleed section of every parking lot to prevent door dings... These chips are coming out of no where.. There are not scratches.. these are large chunks of paint missing.. you can see the gray primer under it.. Also in the seams where the hood meets the fenders, the paint is flaking off.. I really hope Chevy does something about this.. I love my car..:(
2010 - 2011 Camaro - Front End Suspension Issues
After a couple of months of owning the 2010 2SS RS Camaro, it started making very annoying front end noises, loud annoying clunking sounds when going over bumps or rivets in the pavement. The car now sounds like it is 10 years old. I have opened a case with GM but apparantly this is the case with MOST 2010 - 2011 Camaros and GM refuses to fix the issue at this time. If you visit this forum link you can see how many Camaro owners are having this issue. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2648682#post2648682 I have been dealing with this issue now for months and it gets me sick driving the car. Before you buy this car please see if GM came out with a resolution.
Paint Chips everywhere!
I have had my midnight blue camaro for almost a year. I drive 4 miles to work then 4 miles home. I have 10,000 miles on it now. My paint where the gills are look horrific. I have a smattering of nicks that look like I have driven through a paintball war. I'm taking it to the dealer next week to have them look at it, but am not expecting them to do anything. I'm OCD about my vehicles looking perfect and this one has certainly let me down.
Fun car to drive, but seems to have consistent issues
Fun car to drive. I have never owned such a fun car to drive. Power and performance are outstanding. Reliability? Come on, Chevy. I know you can do better. Within months of purchasing the car it began to do "funny" things. Like telling me all 4 tires were flat and not one was, giving me an airbag warning and adjusting radio volume on its own to name a few. The Chevy dealer said it needed a computer upgrade and we did that. Everything was good for a few weeks, and the issues began again. Back to dealer, same problem. Now, 60K miles into it, the car has left me stranded twice and I no longer have any faith in the reliability. Be warned if you are looking for a reliable vehicle.
Nearly Perfect
I have owned to 2010 Camaro 1LT for around 9 months now, and I still have a smile on my face every time I hop in the car. The power is amazing (now SAE certified 312 hp, instead of the original rating of 304 hp), especially coming from a V6. GM knocked it out of the ballpark with the design. I have had people lean out of their cars on the highway to gawk at the car, people talk to me and ask to see inside it at gas stations, and been given thumbs up by other people driving their cars and motorcycles. I seriously feel like a rockstar driving this vehicle.
Surprisingly perfect
The gas mileage is surprisingly good if you stay the speed limit and the comfort for a sports car is amazing it handles incredibly well on the road overall I do not regret this purchase even after five years.

Major Mechanical Issues - Thats Life!
I, unfortunately, own a 2010 2LT that currently has about 70,000 miles. I have had multiple major mechanical components of the vehicle fail prematurely. Specifically, one of the catalytic converters failed at about 60,000, the throttle body and related wiring failed at about 45,000, the timing chains stretched at about 35,000 and most recently have just stretched again at about 70,000. GM assumes no responsibility for the issues and when questioned for assistance with the second timing chain failure has relayed the message that they believe that this is normal wear and that the 35,000 mile interval is acceptable. Terrible product. I do not recommend if you purchase one if you like your hard earned money. Other than the major mechanical issues the car looks fantastic. I guess I always really did need a $35,000 lawn decoration.

3.6 v 6 timing chain
DO NOT BUY the 3.6 v 6 engine. This has a faulty design on the timing chains. Check engine light came on at 52,724 miles and coded P008 & P0017. Chevy dealer said needs timing chains, cost $3,000. GM has issued extended warranties for 10 years and 120,000 miles on other makes and models with the 3.6 v6 for timing chains. NOT ON THE CAMARO....They acknowledge a problem under their Customer Satisfaction Program 10287. The only problem is their Customer Satisfaction Program is of absolutely NO HELP if you own a Camaro. They want you to foot the whole bill. Google Camaro timing chain and read all the other complaints from other owners for the same problem. The car however looks great parked in my driveway. "Time for my wife to give me a ride in her Nissan to the flower shop so I can buy flowers to plant on my expensive Camaro planter living in the driveway."

The Hugger is Back
If you are a Chevy Guy, A Camaro Guy, This is it. I've waited a long time for a car like this and finally my dream came true. As an old timer cars were and are a big part of my life. Getting behind the wheel and feeling like a young man again is so powerful in life. I haven't driven a car like this since I was 18 and now 40 some years later I'm back. The performance of this car is awesome. The style, comfort and sound system in a muscle car, it's just so much fun to drive. Another cool thing is looking over at my wife and just reliving some good times we had as kids. I like the looks we get and the thumbs up. Sure it's a little hard to get in and out of but hey, it's well worth it. I guess I'm suppose to tell you all about the bad things but so far it's all good. Chevrolet, hot dogs, and some apple pie. What else could you ask for? Oh yea, some good health to keep enjoying this ride even if for a little while longer. Update, health is still good and the Hugger sits pretty in the garage. The wife and I take it out on weekends and run the heck out of it. "Awesome" ........ "Awesome"...... I pamper this car like it's my baby, well it is. Still going strong after all things said. If you are a car guy and want to relive your youth? Chevy Muscle. Ride On my friends. Well it's been a few years now and I still am enjoying my Camaro. I just wish I were getting younger to enjoy this car. It's getting rough getting in to this hot rod but once I'm strapped in the age thing goes out the window. Chevy Muscle all the way.

Does anything else really matter?
I've put 2,700 miles on my new Camaro so far and I have mixed emotions. Dealership made me a fair deal. I'm averaging 23 mpg. I love the looks and comments I get from friends and strangers alike. Now the bad news. Front end scratches easily from rocks/debris on the road. Funny rattling noise coming from a/c vents. Passenger A pillar creaks. Onstar/phone seldom works. Radio/speaker quality needs improvement. Interior scratches too easy. Bottom line, who cares. The car is smoking hot. I bought the silver with black heritage rims and get loads of complements. I've had guys in Corvettes and Mustangs staring at my car. For under $25k, it's a work of art. I love my Camaro, so does everyone else.
Never Again Chevy!
Never again Chevy! I recently bought a 2010 v6 Camaro with the expectation that it was reliable and lots of fun but boy was I in for a ride! The car motor only had 48k miles. 2 months in and with 50k miles the timing chain started to stretch! We contacted the dealership to have it fixed and they referred us to Chevy corporate. Corporate promised to assist us the best they can but I can tell you it really much of an effort from their end. They blew us off saying that the car was out of warranty since it’s 2010 but this was complete [non-permissible content removed] considering the car only had 50k miles on it! I take it to a shop and they quote me well past $2k to fix it. Now the car is at 55k miles and the motor blew! It’s a brand new car practically and the motor blew! I came to chevy expecting quality and reliability but what I got in return was nothing but a lemon. Thanks Chevy! I’ll never get anything chevy again until you care about your customers!

Nice car. Don't but from Chevy of Irvine.
Superb car in every respect. The blind spots are plenty, so be careful. But this is the most bang for your buck you can get for under 40k performance-wise. Do not buy from Chevy of Irvine as they like to drive your "new" car for hundreds of miles before presenting it to you. Who knows what they do prior to you taking ownership. And even when confronted about the issue, they deny despite the odometer's readings. There are honest Chevy dealers out there. Chevy of Irvine IS NOT one of them. Fair warning.
Serious Paint Problems!
I grew up driving camaros and was very excited when the new models came out. Drives wonderfully but the paint job is horrible! Did they only spray one coat? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a paint recall. I've seen several other 2010 camaros around town that are all equally scratched up. We've only had the car for 5 months, 1,400 miles, no accidents, and there are chips everywhere. All you have to do is look at this car funny and the paint will chip!
2010 Camaro Review
I purchased my Camaro a little over a year ago and it is driven daily. I am very impressed with its features. The 6.2L V8 is amazingly powerful and very responsive. The six speed transmission is very crisp and smooth. The gas mileage was actually a big surprise for a V8; I get 20+ city and right around 30 on the highway. I feel the interior has a cockpit feel that encompasses the driver but is also very ergonomic and comfy. The only issue I found was blind spots make it difficult to back up this large vehicle. Exterior styling was a great combination of modern almost futuristic styling and the classic Chevy muscle look. I really enjoy driving this car to work or cruising around town.
Beware the Paint and Sight Lines...
Wow, purchased a Red 2010 2LT RS and was blown away by the looks, unique interior, and list of options/features. I was concerned about the roof line, but thought I would get use to it. And then the paint chips began. I started to get paint chips by the "gills" even though I had purchased the painted splash guards. And then I read camaro forums and quickly learned of a paint issue on the camaro. The stories are horrific and I've seen the pictures! GM is not acknowledging that there is a problem, of course. The root of the problem appears to be a change in paint due to federal/Canadian laws. After 500 miles, I traded for a 2010 mustang gt and couldn't be happier! So, buyers, beware!
Camaro lover for life
First of all it’s a sports car so if you get the v8 don’t expect Prius gas mileage the interior design of the car I love I looked at the mustang and it was small inside also checked out the challenger but but was just plain Jane the camaro ss really won it for me the performance is great the car a ridiculously fast handles amazing it has four piston brembo brakes front and rear so no problem stopping you could bang 120 easy in third I love this car not to mention it’s a head turner Chevy didn’t go wrong when they reintroduced this vehicle I would highly recommend for older drivers no young heavy footed teens

Sweet car, bad dealership
I've had this car for a couple of years now and it's been the time of my life! Awesome acceleration, great handling and even the gas mileage from a large engine is solid, even better compared to my old Scion TC. If anything, my only grips are the difficulty in installing a Hurst Shifter as you have to drop the transmission 5 inches. Also, Chevy needs to change their customer service standards. I bought the car from a Chrysler dealership and they were laughably better compared to the Chevy. But the actual car is awesome; a blast to drive and easy/fun to work on. Lots of thumbs up on the street and on the track.

Timing chain Horror
2010 Camaro with v6 check engine light on at 52000 miles diagnosed stretched timing chains. Cost to repair $2,800. GM recall on other models with same engine and problems extended to 10 years 120,000 miles. Camaro not included in recall. After 40 years of loyal GM ownership this is the last GM product I will ever buy. GM Ultimate FAIL....

Beast of a Car
I've had my Camaro 2SS for a little over a week and put over 1000 miles on it. It's a blast to drive, corners phenomenally for such a heavy car, and for a V8 is getting acceptable gas mileage. The interior is what I wanted, no frills with a handful of nice amenities. If you are looking to get this car, you shouldn't care about the fuel economy, the previously mentioned cheaper plastics, or the lack of a color screen for GPS. It's a 426 HP V8 sports car with 420 lb/ft of torque to lay some rubber down on the ground and look in your rear view mirror at the cars you just passed.
Aqua Blue Beautiful Beast!
Picked up my pre-ordered 2010 aqua blue metallic 1ss a week ago. What power on this puppy! I am so happy I picked aqua blue, this color makes the car look gorgeous. People stare ALL the time and compliment many times. The sports cloth interior impresses me very much. Everything has been smooth with the car so far. Sunroof well worthed. One word of advice.. If you are debating between the V6 and the V8, get the V8. I was about to get the 6 cylinder, but I changed my mind in time and now have an awesome V8 that rocks almost anything on the street. The power for the price is just amazing. What a hot car... Very very happy so far..
Awesome Ride
Bought this car as a wedding gift to my new bride. We have 9,000 miles on it. She and I love it. No problems so far. Super power! My wife says she is always getting approving looks. The Red Jewel color looks really great. The night time ambient interior lighting is wonderful. Love the instrumentation. A lot of fun for the money. Only complaint I personally have is I am a big guy, so I have a hard time getting comfortable on long drives. But, I still love the car (when she let's me drive it). Besides, I bought it for my wife and she loves it. That's all that matters!
Amazing car
This car is amazing! Being able to have this much power AND decent gas mileage blows me away. I get looks everywhere I go and people are always asking about my car! No regrets here!
No regrets on this car 10 years later
I put a K&N airflow intake on it, better tires and modified factory settings with performance settings and she flies and handles well! I do have the full ground effects package which make a difference too. I recently test drove a 2019 exact same model as my 2010 and easily walked away from it back to my 2010. Yes it’s nice but when you drive a manual and the emergency brake is a button, that’s awkward and factory limitations are noticeable. Still get compliments daily on my 2010!

2010-2013 Best looking 5th gen camaros
Im gonna start by saying that i love muscle cars, especially v8s. This camaro caught my eye and i had to buy it. I bought it used with 16k miles for $24k last year. When i test drove this car i was like wow. The acceleration was like nothing else i have drove, but then again im 22 and only had drove a toyota celica gt 2002. I always get complitments on the car. They asked me v8 or v6? When i tell them v8, they are like wow i wish i had one. Initially i was going to get a corvette 2009 but when i test drove the camaro i was sold, not only for the looks and power but also because it has 4 seats. Im a truck driver and to be honest the blind spots dont bother me much but they are annoying sometimes. I have drove it only 3k miles so i dont know much about the reliability. Gas mileage is ok for a v8 but i knew what i was buying. Interior is nice but could had been better. I love the red leather seats and the inside of the doors. Also when you drive this car you sit low and it feels like a tank but does handle teally good.

2010 Camaro ss
I bought my 2010 Camaro used in 2014 with 11000 km on it I now have 74000km on it with zero issue just one set of brake pads and 3 sets of tires i do my oil changes every 5000 km with Mobil 1 with added z max protection I love my ss and am sure to get another 10 to 20 years out of her. BOWTIE TILL I DIE
2SS first built run lots of problems
First off the dash is a pile of cramp. Chevy admits they had a problem in the manufacturing of the dash as being to thin and cracking open but will not replace it. They redesigned the dash and made it thicker so it would not crack out as the earlier dashes have done. Next the clutch and 6 speed also had earlier troubles and they also corrected in the production run of the first 15,000 car produce but not all car where fix and second owners left holding the bag for repairs. This includes a redesigned clutch to prevent it from earlier failure. Next the 6 speed trans box also failing which they redesigned to correct earlier failures. Then also the rear end troubles too which they also came out with a fix too. They also have electrical issues too with two many to list. They if you purchased the GM Extend Warranty they do not honor their own product warranty and always reject your claim. My Camaro SS sat in the shop for over two weeks and they denialed me a rental car because they said it was drivable even though the warranty company took three days to look at it after it sat for three days then another four days awaiting parts for the fix. I purchased my car from a dealer who also services my other cars at their other dealerships. The problem is with the other dealership here in California and not my home dealership back in Maryland. The car would be an excellent car if GM and their GM Extend Warranty would stand behind them. Why do not they? They have 12 million in profits again which they could step up but they will not.

Great car with 605HP 6.8L 416 stroker!
I got a steal of a deal from a one-owner 2010 1SS/RS that I could not pass up! An older gentleman bought the car new, removed the adequately powered 6.2L and dropped in a 6.8L 605HP fire-breathing monster and I was first in line when he was ready to sell! Thankfully the prior owner had his thrill of owning this car for a while and due to the crate engine installed, the dealership didn't want anything to do with this modified ZL1 killer when he tried to trade it in for a new 2015 Corvette Stingray. I got him to sell me the car at trade in price, less the cost of a new set of tires and I got a bargain of a lifetime! The 1SS had been upgraded with factory leather seats, 4-gauge instrument cluster, drag radials, headers, exhaust, cold air intake, and best of all, a MAST motorsports built 416ci stroker motor pushing more horsepower than a Z06 or ZL1! It didn't take much convincing on the seller's part when all he had to do was crank over the engine and hear the sound of that power coming from the tailpipes! SOLD for $17.5K! I scoured the internet for years trying to find a decent one-owner SS and never would I think there would be a 600+ horsepower car for under $18,000. You should have seen the look on my friend's face when he heard the motor in my car after he dropped $29k for a used automatic SS! Priceless!

Disappointing
I ordered a 2010 Camaro SS and kept it for just over 2 years. I had to convince myself that I liked the car, when I actually couldn't stand it. When people would ask me how I feel about it, I'd mutter "eh it's fun". But honestly, this thing drives like a clunker. Fast? Absolutely! But it handles like a bus with no visibility. It's advertised MPG is a longshot as well. It's really around 11-14. An additional sting came from the terrible internal options. Anyone that has driven a variety of sports cars can tell you the same thing, this isn't a real sports car. I've since changed over to a much smaller, lighter, far superior (though slower) RWD vehicle that actually offers a driving experience.
Best Vehicle I have ever owned
This was the first car I ever ordered at a dealership. I picked most options, SS with RS package, black with inferno orange interior and orange racing stripes. Six speed. I have had it 5.5 years now which is the longest I have ever kept a car. It has over 51,000 miles on it so it is not a show car. Virtually no problems with it, only one: the seat heaters quit working after 4 years but now I don't drive it in the winter any more. Those first 4 winters I had a snow tire and wheel package and never got stuck once (I live 50 miles north of Detroit). I have owned about 18 cars and pickup through the years and I can say this one has been my favorite. I have gotten more comments on this car than any other car I have owned combined (and mostly from women) and that includes 2 Corvettes, 2 Escalades and a new Mercedes E55 AMG. My teenage boys both hope they will get this car someday...we will see.

Style, speed, handeling and 32mpg
Just got the car, amazing performance all around. This car is as fast as my LT1 1995 Camaro was yet the 304HP V6 averages 32mpg+ on the highway with the cruise set to 67mph. Over all just and amazing package and fun to drive car. Great cornering, acceleration, and drop dead gorgeous styling.
Who drove this before they built it?
Had the car for 2 months, if someone wants it I'll sell it now! Too big, too heavy, poor driving visibility & seating position the hype doesn't match the finished product. For GM it's a high margin vehicle that sells behind great marketing & visual style...that's how I got hooked. I don't get it when other buyers say this car handles great, compared to what?? After owning 3 different 70's muscle cars the retro formula is disappointing. For those looking to buy one I have one for sale at a discount!
I love my Camaro!
I am in love with my car and everything about it. If I could improve one thing about it would definitely make more space in back. Other than that I love my car!❤❤❤❤

2010 Camaro
I have had my 2010 Camaro for almost 2 years and the only problems I have had is the tire pressure sensor and the paint. Mine is black and I have had alot of people wanting to see it up close to include police officers.
forget what you thought about pony-cars
Very good vehicle, ride is as good as my 2006 Acura RL, independent rear suspension works for smooth ride and handling. Upright seating, no longer do you recline as earlier Camaros. Very low roofline, side glass less than 12 inches high, but inside view is fine. Almost don't need all the power of V-8, V-6 drives almost as well.
Good
Everything is good just bought it like 2 months ago selling it cause I need money.

CAR IS GREAT WITH NOISE FROM AFM
This car is everything I hoped it to be. The ride is perfect and the car steers great on the road. The silver ice color I picked is so appealing to the eyes. I have had so many lookers turning turning their heads to see how great the car stands out.
Fix The Thin Fenders
GM! Please finish out the fenders. They are very thin and need to be finished out. I was washing the car and almost broke the back fender off by the back wheel. GM needs to take a look at the 2010 Mustang and finish the camaro out like Ford Did. Also the 2010 Ford Mustang seems to have higher quality than Camaro. Love looking at the car. Fix the cheap thin fenders and paint.

2010 2SS 1st Gen Deja Vu
I built a 1968 (1st Gen) Camaro when I was a young man. Started a family and decided to sell it to take care of more important Family needs. A few weeks ago my Wife and I decided to get another Camaro for weekend fun. What a Blast! If you have ever owned or driven a 1967-1969 Camaro you will have deja vu! It hit me when I got settled in on the Interstate for the first time, looking through the windshield across the hood gave me complete deja vu of the 1968. Not only that... GM nailed it with this car, it's amazing, it's everything I wanted the 68 to be and more. I absolutely love it! Comfort, Quality, Performance and Looks! Amazing!

Turns Heads
To all those worried about previous poor reviews, do not worry. This car is amazing. Before I purchased, I read some reviews about faulty paint, couldn't be further from the truth. I bought the SI Synergy Green package and the car looks amazing. To prove the paint point, the main road by my home began new paving the day I brought the car home. There was road debris all over and raised manholes. It was inevitable that small asphalt stones would kick up, NO DAMAGED AT ALL. Also, the 6-cyl has a lot of kick to it. I'd recommend forgetting the sunroof, it is actually an eyesore when opened (doesn't 'hide' in the roof). Oh, it took all of about 2 minutes to get used to smaller window views.
GM Hit a home run
This was my first rear wheel drive sports car, have been wanting one since my teens and I think I picked the best year to buy in my life time. This I think is an instant classic. as another person said this might be the best car GM has ever built and I have owned many. I get many complements daily, it never stops and like someone mentioned earlier it almost gets annoying, but you feel good knowing you own such a cool car.
Orange Stripped Black Beauty
Its low to sit down in otherwise its very fast. It's an SS, 2SS with the RS pkg. I love my Camaro. It's everything I ever hoped for and much more.

Orange Camaro 1SS
Highs: Great exterior body lines and excellent straight line performance. Multimatic paddle shifters are precise and have minimal to no shift delay. Handles close to the Mustang GT but not quite as well. Independent rear suspension creates a smoother ride that the Mustang. 14 inch Brembos really help stopping distances. Cloth seats are comfortable and look good. Current fuel economy is 17 MPG which is higher than expected. Lows: Some of the interior sight lines are difficult to see out of especially in the back which, is overcome by well placed mirrors. I would have liked an option of interior color other than black because it shows dust easily.
Awesome Car
This car is great love the retro style has plenty of get up and go. I have to set the cruise control or i end up going way over the speed limit. Great job Chevy

PAINT CANNOT BE MATCHED
I got a small door ding on my passengers door.I took my car to Young Chevrolet to have fixed.I was told the paint would be matched and it would look like showroom floor quality. 9 Paint jobs later it cannot be matched. Not only does the paint not match I have a deep scratch on one of my side window, swirl marks on my striping and the rest of the paint. They refuse to do anything else. Including replacing the damaged glass or stripes.I also have paint chips .
