Used 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche Consumer Reviews
Gotta luv it!
If you drive one... everything else seems impractical. The versitility. styling and comfort are the best part of this truck. Did I meantion mods? This truck was built to modify.... do what you will. It will only make cool cooler!!
A versatile truck
Many have suggested replacing the removable glass with a rear power window that retracts into the midgate. I like the existing design. By lowering the midgate, while leaving the glass and tonneau in place, I get extra load space AND protection from the elements. I love the adjustablity of the driver's seat, especially the lumbar support. It's the most comfortable seat I own. I've owned trucks with both the 5.7 and 5.3L engines. GM claims the 5.3 has more power and better economy. That has not been my experience. The 5.7 always felt like it had more grunt and got better mileage. This truck needs both. I average 14-15 mpg. On the whole, though, a great truck.

Top Notch Avalanche
This vehicle handles great, and is very comfortable to drive. It has every feature needed to make this a top class pick up, with a taste of luxury. With its V8 and 535 HP, this truck has the power to PULL. The Avalanche has the best of both worlds all wrapped up in one vehicle...SUV/PICKUP. I give it a well deserved 10.
Big Red Avalanche
Better than I expected! The ride is very smooth and surprisingly quiet. The sun-n-fun package with the sunroof and XM radio is a must. I have 3 small children (8, 6, & 4) and they love riding in "the big red truck"!
This is wonderful
I was doubtful when I first saw the Avalanche, but after I bought it, I realized it was the best vehicle I have ever bought. Believe me, I've owned a few. It has everything I could have wanted in a truck and then some.
