If you don't own one....don't review!
How can these yahoos spend 15 minutes in the car and make such crappy claims. I have owned BMW's, Caddys, a Vette and a Mercedes. Nothing holds a match to the fun I have in this car. It handles phenominally. It looks and feels great. The blow hards that speak poorly of this car have little to go on. I look for reasons to drive it, and I know I saved a ton of money over the bone heads that are hooked on te BMW. Caddilac is stellar in the way they take care of their clients. Much like a European dealership. Free rental, free service and attention unsurpassed.
CTS - Is the press ignoring a great car?
A fresh change from my normal Buick Regal (Three in a row - about 2 years use each); the CTS handles wonderful - zippy and yet a smooth enough road ride for someone like me that travels heavily. Superb sound system and excellent driver visibility! I have approx. 7000 miles on it already; and have noticed the press has turned their attention from even reviewing this car with any peers?!

First 3 months
So far, wonderful car. Luxury sport package, hot seats, split rear, auto. Never take it out of "sport". Handles great.
Next Generation Cadillac
The 0% financing closed the deal for me in April. I put an Altima and the CTS side by side in my driveway. While the Altima was quick and looks nice too, it can't compare to the "wow" factor of the CTS. The CTS is tight, quick and fun to drive. I didn't see another one on the road for two days. Lots of people commented on my new car at work. I'm 46 and it's perfect for me.
CTS Owner
Loaded CTS Lux Sport (White Diamond) a) This car is fun to drive! The handling, acceleration, "road feel" is on par with the German's. It's not super fast, but no slouch either. b)Great Looks - Both inside and out, this car looks unique. I'm glad they didn't raid the GM parts bin to make it look like all other caddy's. c) Comfort - I really like the ergonomics of this car. It's very comfortable in all driving conditions. d) Value. Unlike import dealers, Cadillac sales will accept reasonable offers (plus you can use GM points, get low rates, etc...)
From Catera to CTS
We've owned the two Catera models preceeding the CTS. These were good cars and real bargains. So we looked forward to leasing or buying the '03 CTS. It's been totally reliable, a pleasure to drive in city and on the highway. And what an eye-catcher! We have never had a car that has garnered so much favorable comment from young kids and oldsters alike. The price alone makes this vehicle a great bargain and well worth the attention of people interested in a mid-size luxury sedan.
I Love My CTS
The new CTS is one of the best GM products EVER! (XLR is the other). The car is so refined and comfortable. The new 3.2 liter V6 is so quiet that when i turn the car on, i can't even hear it. I looked at the BMW 330i and the Audi A4 3.0 CVT and they could not compare. If you do get the CTS get the sport Luxury Package, the only way to go.
Great Car
This car was not even on my list, but after searching unsucessfully for a G35 with a manual tranny I gave it a look-and boy am I happy I did. IMHO the Infiniti has nothing on this car. The Infiniti has more horsepower, but it doesn't feel faster and it is MUCH louder. Also the Infiniti interior comes off cheap looking for a car in this class in comparison. Drive the Caddy and you instantly feel like you're driving an expensive car. I have owned a LOT of new cars and this one ranks above all save the Corvette. Like the Corvette the car is instantly recongnizable among the masses of 4 wheeled jelly beans on the road. I give the car a 9 out of 10.
CTS California Edition
I love the car. It handles great; looks are awesome. There is no in- between with this car. People either love it or hate it. It definitely turns heads as you go by. My parents and grandparents drive Cadillacs, but this in no way is comparable to the boat ride of the DTS and STS. It gives the BMW and the Lexus a good run for the money. It's nice to see Detroit back in the game.
CTS
So far so good. The wife loves it. I have owned BMW's but wanted something different. I have the luxery sport. The car handles well on the road.
Caddy on the Rebound
Went shopping for a "economical" family car. Looked at Honda, Toyota, VW, and Lincoln. Got into the CTS and it sold itself. Awesome fit and finish! Very unique design. Cadillac did their homework - hit a homerun. Got the CTS Luxury Sport with every option possible. Have 13500 miles, not one problem. Changed out the factory On- Star antenna for a stubby one! Extremely comfortable ride! Room in back seat is surprisingly large!
1st. Caddy for me...maybe more?
I ordered my CTS in Dec. 2002 and took delivery in Jan. 2003. This is my first Cadillac and probably won't be my last. The CTS is a fun car to drive and will definetly turn heads on the street. I ordered my CTS with just about every option. The upgraded Bose stereo / DVD Navigation is awesome. I would strongly suggest the Sport Package for those who enjoying driving their vechicle.
it's the bomb
i like it very much
Its not the caddy that zigs, it rocks..
I have had this car for about a month, i have the 5 speed luxury sport with every feature on except the nav system. The other cars i was concidering were the Subaru WRX, Audi S4/A6 2.7T. I have driven all of the above cars and must say that I'm very happy with my choice. While yes, the Subaru was faster it felt, well .. cheap. The audi, well getting an A6 with a 6 speed is a 3 month wait. I took one drive and I was like, this is my car. Its quick, its smooth, its cool looking and its very comfortable. It rides well, corners well above what should be expected and stabiltrack 2.0 does an awesome job of keeping you going in the right direction.
Sold on Cadillacs
I bought this car with the money that I saved while in highschool. I first had an oldsmobile intrigue and that was a good first car but not anything amazing by any means. My family has always had plain vehicles and my dad wanted to keep it that way. He did not want me to get this car because he said i couldn't afford it for insurance and repairs. I saved up the cash and bought it outright. I love this car!!! I have had to put a thermostat....very expensive...and a coil pack on it. Repairs are very expensive but I have had no other problems and it runs very good! It drives excellent and the bose stereo is nice. I would recommend this car to anyone. I threw on some 22" rims & its still smooth
'03 CTS
So far, the car is great. A nice blend of performance and luxury. Two words describe this car... "powerful" and "smooth"
BETTER THEN THE CATERIA
This new exotic style is great cadillac has done a great job with there engerineering and making it affordable. The style is nicer looking then the cateria and purrs like a kitten when it wants to. i love that sports suspenstion button that gives you faster pick up also. overall i love this car i am loyal to GM and always be and after what happened on 9/11 we should support our country by buying cars built in the usa. SO OVERALL A GREAT CAR
CTS Review
More fun to drive than the 1999 Cadillac ElDorado Coupe I traded in.
Seriously kick-ass Caddy.
At 27, I am younger than the audience Cadillac perhaps envisioned for this car. Yet it is people my age that really dig the CTS. Short overhangs and a sharp aggressive stance make the CTS look like it means business. It's one part WRX, one part BMW and two parts 60s Cadillac. The end result is simply bad-ass. It backs up the assertive looks with one of the best chassis in the world. Like a BMW, you have to drive it to understand just how well planted this car really is. The Getrag stick is excellent and the overall drive-train is well done. The interior fit and finish is solid, but the design is a little awkward. Overall though, it is a fantastic package.
Meant To Be Driven Until End of Warranty!
The cts is absolutely the sexiest car I've ever driven. Bought it used w/ 35k - certified. Styling, comfort and handling were outstanding. Consistently 30 mpg hgwy! I drive 30k a year, but I baby my cars... Many annoying little things (costly w/o warranty): oil leak, sunroof Glass, loose interior panels, tie rods all before 60k. Worse off at 90k: 2 thermostats. As soon as the warranty ended (a month later): coolant check valves and hoses, head gaskets, rear bearings, etc. "certified" is the best! Buy this car because it's excellent... Trade it before the warranty is up... I took a $12k loss and went back to Japanese quality. FYI even the base model accord offers the same options as a CTS.
GREAT!
GREAT!
Biggest Lemon EVER
Bought this car brand new. Within first year, rear end was replaced, water pump, radiator, and much more was replaced in first three years. Repairs on this car is extremely high. Everything but the motor and transmission has been replaced. I was hit and insurance totaled my car because it's so expensive to fix. I loved the car but not the hassle of it breaking down.
