Love our 2023 Envision Essence AWD
Purchased ours 4 months ago and just positive things to say about it so far. The 10.2 inch screen is user friendly and uncomplicated and we like how it is angles toward the driver. Very clear and wide screen backup camera. Our salesman said it didn't have a Nav system, but it actually has Buick Maps + as long as you continue the Onstar Connected Services Subscription. The turbo seems to have plenty of power for merging with freeway traffic. We like how it handles around town, and it is very smooth, comfortable and quiet on the interstate. Sport mode definitely makes it more sporty. I have used that around town a few times. We like how the exterior and interior looks and feels upscale and up to date for its price.

Car doors not appropriate for winter driving
We like the looks of the car and the ride. Cargo space is small. Our biggest complaint is the style of the car doors. The bottom of the doors are open to all elements of the weather. When you open any of the doors in the winter, slush and snow fall out, sometimes on your shoes and slacks, if you are not careful. We contacted Buick about the issue and was told there is nothing they can do to resolve this issue. Even in the summer, the bottom of the doors collect sand and gravel. If we would have known this when we looked at the vehicle, we would not have purchased it. Lesson learned.

Surprisingly fun to drive
Looked at the sticker and saw that 91% of the vehicle is made in China. The car looks good inside and out looks and feels good driving, Good sound dampening, suppresses road noise well at highway speeds. Trim underneath and around the seat base looks cheaply made but the fact, doors and Leather upper seats get your attention more and feels comfortable. Mirrors side view and rear view seem tiny to me as does the steering wheel. Transmission is a little jerky at times. Fuel economy is okay, not horrible, but having a tough time averaging more than 27 combined, getting 30 mpg at best at 65 mph hwy speed but drops off at higher speeds. Quick and responsive and fun to drive.

Do not buy a 2023 Buick Envision
I purchased the car brand new with 11 miles. From day one, I have had issues. The brakes squeaked from the beginning. I kept being told that I needed to drive it for a while and get the coating worn off the brake pads. It continued and I constantly called the dealership complaining that a brand new car should not have squeaking/squealing brakes. They finally replaced the front brakes at approx 7500 miles. I picked the car up and before I drove it out of the lot, I heard a clunking noise. Took it right back and they said it was the calipers. The squealing continued and they finally replaced the back brakes. At this point the car didn’t even have 8000 miles on it. Once both sets of brakes were replaced the squealing stopped and then I am driving it one day with 10,914 miles on it and I get a notice to have the transmission checked. I thought that ok, it needs to go in for service, and 15 minutes later, the car just stops. Won’t accelerate at all. I live in the mountains and there aren’t shoulders on many of the roads. Thank goodness I was able to coast to a wide spot where I could get off the main road. I have to call for a tow just to get home and then the next day have it towed to the dealership, which is about a 30 min drive from my home. After five days, I am now told that the gear shift push button assembly needs to be replaced. And, the part is back ordered and it could be months before it comes in. I am forced to rent a car again, because mine is in the shop. Nobody know or can tell me when the part might be available. I have had the car for 15 months, it has 10,914 miles on it, has had regular service from the dealer and I am renting a car for who knows how long because they cannot get the part for a car with less than 12K miles on it. I have spent more money renting vehicles why this car has been in the shop than I care to talk about. I will never ever purchase a Buick again! Buyer Beware.

2023 buick envision transmission issues
i bought brand new 2023 buick envision on way home from purchase transmission goes out! Been in shop over a week didnt even have the car but about an hour. mileage was 21 miles at purchase
Headache
The car at first was a great convenience but it started having issue after issues. The second week I started having break issues. They squeak so loud. Took in I took it in and within a week it was squeaking again. It was a manufacturer issue. I keep having trouble with the lift not wanting to open. Then i would put the car into drive and the motor would rev and the car wouldn't move. So i would put it back in park and again put it back into drive and you could feel it grab. Now after a month I had my check transmission light come on. It's been in the shop for over a week because the parts are on backorder. That tells me alot. This must be a common issue with this car if you can't even get the parts. So I have to go without any car but still making payments for nothing.

Forward collision alarm is turned off but comes in automatically intermittently. When playing music via Android Auto, the screen changed from music to map by itself intermittently. The rear view camera does not work a out 25% of the time when in reverse. The climate control temperature settings do not function properly with it blowing cold air out even when set as high as 78. Overall it's a sickening experience knowing we paid $48K for the rust bucket as we now call it because it rusted within three months of purchase on the entire rear end. As of today, a cording to Edmunds the car is only worth $34K. I tried to get the dealer to buy it after picking it up from the rust being addressed and they generously offered me $32K. Do yourself a favor, do not buy another GM product folks. You will live to regret it.
Beautiful Blue
Gorgeous blue with cream interior. Buick bank vault quietness. Nice power and handling. Despite Avenir trim no lumbar adjustment and the back of the seat does not fit my long torso as the back turns towards the dash too low so sticks in my back. Great A/C and sound system.

My spouse and I purchases a new Buick Envision Avenir in January 2024. It was a 2023 model year end but new. By the middle of April 2024, the car had rust showing through the paint all over the rear of the car. The rear view camera does not work while in reverse intermittently. The forward collision alarm is turned off because it scares me when it comes on and it still comes in intermittently even when another car is nowhere around. Intermittently, the car temperature heat and cooling does not work but blows out ice cold air or whatever temperature the outside air is. The car was placed in the care of the dealership to address all of these issues. The rust was addressed and they found nothing wrong with the car otherwise. The drive home after retrieving the car from the dealership repair shop brought about more issues with the first being the radio system. I was playing Amazon music via android auto. The music stopped playing automatically two times in the drive home and the info display screen directly in front of the drivers area kept changing information. The car is a Lemon. I have contacted GM and asked them to buy the car back. I will keep you updated. What makes this insult to injury is that the dealership salesman was was a professional in dishonesty. We paid around $48,000 in January 2024 and yesterday we were offered $32,000 for the car from the dealer that sold it to us.

Extreme Sportscar in a SUV
Smaller than a Terrian, bigger than an Encore, Good trunk space and has 4 modes of driving. Ride is easy on the body and smooth, Front doors open wide for getting in and out (Have not tried back seats yet.) Dashboard is awesome with lighting around the front dashboard and on the sides of the front seat doors. It also has a light in the rear to slide your foot under when opening the trunk. Great back camera for easy use of seeing back vision from the driver's perception. Cruise control does not have the slow down feature behind other cars. Miss this feature.

Wish I had my Chevy Traverse back!
I have been buying GM vehicles for 45 years without a major problem with any of them. This 2023 Buick Envision is probably the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Traded my 2018 Traverse on this because my wife wanted a smaller vehicle. It can’t hold a candle to my 6 year old, zero problem, Traverse. Problems, dislikes, where to begin? We live in Ontario and experience winter weather with slush and salt on the roads a great deal of which ends up INSIDE the bottom of the doors. I was at the dealership recently and saw the same design on the newer models. Road wandering, this thing constantly requires correction. First time on a groved concrete highway near home I was shocked at the wandering & thought at first it was the tires but this happens to a lesser extent on all road surfaces. Road noise, on this supposed top of the line model. Radio. The Bose speakers indistinct sound, not of good quality or is it the radio? Windshield wipers. The passenger wiper stops its outward wiper in the middle of the drivers view of the road. Poor design. Memory seat doesn’t always remember my setting and is difficult to adjust because of the very limited space between the seat and the door. The centre console irritatingly opens in the middle with sides rising to the driver and passenger side restricting access. Heater/AC air flow doesn’t offer multiple settings like the Traverse or my 2021 GMC pickup. No blind spot warning indicator the in mirrors or side light blinker on the mirrors and this is the top of the line model. I would never recommend this vehicle to anyone.

GM's Best Kept SUV Secret
Originally shopping for a Cadillac XT4, I purchased its cousin, the Buick Envision with the ST package. The ST package handles so much better than the standard model in any trim level. I would not have bought the Envision otherwise. Without the ST package the ride is squishy and non-responsive, especially during turns. The upgraded 7-speaker system with amp is definitely worth the upgrade. Not quite BOSE level, but better than the standard stereo. Ride is very comfortable, and the 2.0L engine is strong with the 9-speed transmission. No complaints whatsoever. Grab one while you can with the massive rebates going on this spring.

Comfy Ride, but I wanted an American made model.
I've had my 2023 Envision Preferred for 3000 miles in two months. I did not consider any of the Japanese or Korean brands. I was disappointed when I got it home and read the small print on the window sticker telling me the car was assembled in China with 90% Chinese content. The car itself is well made, comfortable and quiet. My favorite features are the lane assist and Apple car play for navigation. The the 4 cylinder turbo is more than adequate and has delivered an average of 28+ mpg in mostly non city traffic. I was disappointed that the preferred trim does not include a driver side rear hatch release/

Not what I had hoped it would be.
Overall, just an average vehicle for the price. The power of the engine could be a lot better. The interior finish just isn't as refined as some other vehicles in this class.

love/hate Envision
We bought a 2023 Buick Envision. I always wanted a Buick since I was a young teenager. You know, top of the line, luxury Smooth as glass ride, quiet! What a disappointment this purchase has been. The looks and the power are wonderful as is the gas mileage. But the road noise is awful. Terrible bumping noise and very loud inside on most roads. You can hardly carry on a conversion with anyone while traveling. The road noise is so loud and terrible that I will not ever buy another Buick!! Nor would i recommend them to anyone else. We had a smoother quieter ride with some autos that cost a lot less than this Envision. I have talked with other EVision owners, and they are having the same problem. Very disappointed in Buick!!!!
So disappointed
I went from a Terrain Denali to an Avenir and I’m so disappointed, the power is good, the drive is “ok” but the rough shifting of gears and the abrupt stopping is not good at all. It feels so small to me cargo wise and the blind spots are ridiculous, I love driving but actually am nervous driving this. I am not happy at all with this vehicle so after 4 months looking to trade it! 13th GM vehicle and the only one I’m not happy about-

Avenir is nice. Get all the options
The 20" rims look nice but hard to balance. The contenetal tires are road force bad on half of them. Make sure it runs smooth before buying it or your screwed. But the car is luxury all the way. I love the Buick envision Avenir loaded.

HANDLES FAR BETTER WHEN YOU EXPLORE CAPABILITIES!
As a Senior driver with accident-free driving in all kinds of cars since 1960, and MANY high-powered ones in the group, this past week's country driving in Northwestern Ontario absolutely made me fall in love with the handling of this vehicle I've already owned for almost one year! (2023 Buick Envision Avenir) On large superhighways, the car steers and tracks so perfectly and effortlessly it feels like it's in some kind of automatic mode even when it's not! THEN, when it's driven on a "dirt/gravel" road in a true wilderness environment, being able to select a driving mode (one of several choices!) for OFFROAD HANDLING, this car absolutely SHINES! On a 90 kilometer (about 55+ miles) forest logging road enroute to a remote fishing lodge, the longest straight part was never more than about 75 yards before more sharp gravel curves, constant blind steep dirt hills and bends, potholes, etc. I cannot image ANY vehicle being more stable and secure when driven over big bumps and bends and fallen tree branches and all. Even the mileage was terrific! On this part of our road trip on this logging road, the only vehicles we encountered were 4-wheel drive trucks! By the way, our car was "loaded" with all manner of heavyweight fishing needs & gear for 2 people. When back in 'civilization' & driven on superhighways, our overall gas mileage averaged just 6.7 liters per 100 kilometers (60+ miles) ie. about 12 gallons Cdn. of regular gas over total driving of about 600 miles! So if anyone wants a classy urban-looking SUV with lots of handy features and smooth driving in a car that changes personality as you need it to, I can't recommend anything better than our Buick Envision Avenir. This car does not get the recognition it deserves
The styling both inside and outside are very impressive. Comfort level is indeed very comfortable, all the safety features work well and are a welcome feature, the ride is supple, and the interior noise level is very quiet you can actually have a conversation with your passengers. The standard engine with its 9 speed transmission delivers quick acceleration 0-6 will come in at 7.3 seconds Gas mileage is competitive with other makers.

DEEP DISCOUNTT!
I purchased a new 2023 Buick Envision Essence ST AWD with panoramic roof december 2023. I have read some of the negative comments about the car. It is unfortunate people have negative things to say. I have nothing but positive things to say about my Envision after driving it for 13000 miles. MSRP was $44,ish.. Dealer took off $12000. for $32000 it is great. No problems. 50/50 city/highway driving averaging 26mpg. Power is more then adequate. Comfortable on long road trips. If i paid MSRP i would not be so happy. There are Deals out there. have 2014 Regal that i have owned since new with similar 2.0 turbo engine that now had 133000 miles. Never had an issue. still goiong.. hopefully my 2023 Envision will be just as great!

A few changes
I bought this car with 16,000 miles. So far it's been a good car. It's smooth ride. I like how quiet it is. The only whish it had a lumbar support. My car i traded in was not a luxury car. It had lumbar support. Only other I would like a little less plastic. It would make more luxurious. Overall I'm happy with it.

Beware of lack of lumbar support.
Disappointed that front seats for this top-of-the-line Avenir did not come with lumbar support. It was not pointed out. The credits that Buick gave for lack of side mirror assist and side back-up alerts are not enough and lack of those items will greatly affect re-sale value by more than the amount of credits.
Beautiful vision
Just got my 2023 Envision Avenir about a month ago. Love the styling and the Sapphire blue color with the beige interior combo Fully equipped like my old XT4 was for less money. Very comfortable smooth ride Can’t wait to use the self parking feature! Highly recommend this car

Nice looking
I am disappointed in the obvious low quality materials used to assemble thus car. The seats are hard, feel like sitting directly on the springs. The doors have a secondary slap when closed due to flexing. Scary sitting in it in car wash as doors actually move in/out as the wash mats spin by. The engine noise is high in the cabin, externally it chatters like there is now oil in it. The steering wheel feels like vinyl out of the 70s. Lacks power, and only gets 2 mpg better than our v6 Encore. Over all, it's a beautiful car inside and out. But feels and drives like a 80s Toyota Celica.

Love my 2023 Envision
Fully loaded with all the bells and whistles and rides a Cadillac
starship
The vehicle is new by about 3 days. I am not an expert but I have plenty of experience. I have the preferred model list about 35,400 front wheel drive, Silver grey outside with like the tan beige inside. The inside looks very good with that color. The seats are more material than they are softex. They skimped on the good stuff. The car is pricey for what you get. Important the ride does not build confidence its mushy and soft no strength. Actual terrible for the year 2023. The outside is kind of plain. The transmission shifts terrible when reducing your speeds. On the highway the car is all over the road it wont stay down not good at all as you build up to a high speed. The steering is excellent. Power is weak. You dont feel weight or a strong built vehicle. Disappointed for most of the car. Theres no flash on the outside. The front hood height is to high. The brakes are weak. The passenger seat has a height adjustment thats good. I may end up selling the vehicle, to many disappointments. For the price of this car you can get alot more car in other brands. The rear of the car has make believe exhaust in the bumper area they are blocked only there for design. The front bumper has a design for fog lights there blocked also. The power windows have to be the slowest in the industry. The reason why the car cant stay on the road is because ,from what I experienced with 5 other GM cars is they have the tire pressure set from the factory at 45. Yes 45. What are they trying to do blow out the tires. Dont purchase the car its weak on support strength.

Missing Important Accessorie
I really like my 2023 invision. The one thing that is really annoying is the lack of a trailer wiring. I think the buick design is I do not like to say but it is really stupid to have a hitch available but no wiring for a trailer or needed for a mobility scooter lift. I do not understand how they can produce a vehicle like this without it. It not even available after market at the dealer
Sporty American made SUV
This was the biggest surprise I have bought in past 10 years!! My last 2 cars have been luxury foreign cars, when I sat in the Envision I was so impressed with all of the features and comfort, I couldn't pass it up...& I love it!!
Beautiful tragedy
Beautiful car. Extremely loud road noise on the highway. The camera does not work intermittently or seems to have a mind if it's own. My music won't start up automatically after being paired with my phone, and just so ya know, my other car did not have issue in this department. The driver seat squeaks. So, before you buy get yourself some ear plugs, blue tooth ear buds and bypass the sound system altogether. Thanks GM for maintaining your stellar customer support. Yes, that was sarcasm.

Decent Vehicle
Not the most exciting vehicle, but seems to ride well, and is very quiet inside. Acceleration is adequate and is fairly comfortable inside. Bose system sounds awful with poor sound quality. I only lease the vehicle and would never have purchased it. For the lease price i pay, i have to say it's a good deal, and i know at the end of the lease, it goes back. UPDATE: Have 10k miles on my 2023, and other than replacing a tire cause of a nail, it’s been pretty good. Seems to have good power, is very quiet, and actually rides pretty decent on all roads. My lease payment is fairly cheap, and after it’s finished, the Buick goes back. I would never consider buying these vehicles. It does look pretty good, if not a little generic. My only thing that I find is the Bose is total garbage.

The new auto. Buick Envision
I have read other reviews and some I see different. The quiet ness on smooth highway is great. On other than smooth asphalt I hear lot's of road noise. Others say takes bumps well, for me I feel lots of bottom out . Also when slowing down feel the transmission with some jerking going through the nine speed transmission. I traded in a Ford Edge 2015 for my new Buick. The Edge gives the Buick run for the money.

Love color, comfort is great..have learned on transmission to manually shift into 9th. Doing that I average 8.4L/100 km mileage. way higher mpg than brochure lists. GM's Best Kept Secret
Best purchase I've made in many years. Buick has hit it out of the park with this Envision. I traded in a VW GTI for the Envision, and I enjoy driving this more than the GTI. Fun factor is 10 out of 10. This is a fantastic SUV, the cousin of the Cadillac XT4, but at a lower price with better infotainment system, a better-looking cockpit, and drive experience that is much sportier. I purchased the Buick Envision with the ST package, which is well worth the upgrade. As of this review, there are massive rebates available, up to $10k in rebates and dealer incentives.
Road Noise
My biggest issue with this car is the road noise at highway speeds. Cruising around town you won't notice it but on the hi way it becomes very evident. Also, the Bose sound system is sub par compared to what the competition offers. Do also wonder how well the paint is going to hold up over time as there does seem to be an orange peel character to it in spots. It is concerning to see this on a new vehicle.

After eyeing the Buick Envision ST for over 6 months I finally went bought one. It rides great in town and on the highway. I love the black leather with the red stitching on the seats, but the gigantic moonroof is probably my favorite feature. 2023 Envision Best mid-sized SUV
Powerful 2.0 LTurbo, quiet, great handling on highway. 228HP/258 ft lbs torque. High fit and finish more than most in this class, 18 inch wheels add to the ride. Solid auto transmission not a CVT. This vehicle has the right engine/power; for MPG, acceleration, cruising. Price range affordable, compared to other over-hyped vehicles in this class...runs on 87 octane fuel, other turbos use 91 octane. I do use 91 octane when temperature hits above 105 F.

Stylish inside and out Buick Envision 2023
I love my Buick Envision. The interior is very beautiful and it’s a comfortable suv to drive.
Not Satisfied
Have purchased this vehicle over a year ago hoping to get a smooth and quiet ride but absolutely not the case. You can definitely hear alot of road noise at highway speeds and is not quiet in the cabin. Definitely disappointed for a Buick. Also the ride around town seems rough as well certainly not like a buick should ride. Only good features are the fuel economy and the power it delivers for a turbo four cylinder The bottom of the inside doors collect dust, gravel or whatever that is also a con. I would never purchase this vehicle again or recommend to anyone.
