I love my BMW

Review, 04/02/2005

I really enjoy driving my BMW-smooth ride. It's as beautiful inside as it is outside. The only negative I've found is that it needs a lot of gas and the back seat is a little tight. These are sacrifices I'm willing to live with. I can't wait for the summer so that I can put the top down and enjoy the long ride to the beach every weekend!

Solid and fun. This car is so tight it feels like I am driving on rails. I will never buy another domestic vehicle.

Bought this car (325i sedan) 5 months ago with almost no options except for automatic transmission. The A/C is fast and cold compared to my '04 Toyota's. The variable-valve 6-cylinder engine gives you enough power when you need it. Steering and ride handling is a 10 out of 10. The rims get a little dirty each week from the brake dust, but that is nothing new. The car is black and very good-looking. The standard leatherette is refined and very comfortable. Rear-passenger room is superior to its competitors, head-room is very good.

Traded my 05 Toyota Solara (HATE IT) on an 05 BMW 325Ci. Automatic, Sport pack, Alpine White, Sand interior, BEAUTIFUL CAR! The coupe is very comfortable yet feels very athletic and solid. It feels as if the car were machined from a solid piece. The interior is comfortable, well thought out, the wood trim is not overdone. I located exactly the one I wanted by internet, and went 650 miles one way to make the trade. During the test drive my wife loved the car so much that we also made a deal on an 05 325I for her. Next week we traveled the 1300 miles again to trade her 05 Mercedes C-230 Sport. The MB was a great car but the BMW blows it in every respect. Love the Bimmers, test drive a sedan too.

Our second new BMW purchase in two weeks! I traded my Toyota Solara on a new 05 325Ci Sport, automatic, Alpine white, Sand interior. My wife loved the car so much more than her 05 Mercedes Benz C-230 Sport, that we traded the Benz on a new 2005 BMW 325I. Orient Blue, Sand interior, automatic, Premium. We both agree the 05 Looks and feels more like a traditional BMW than the 06. The Mercedes was a wonderful car, no complaints, but does not have the refinement, comfort, or power of the BMW. We love both of these new Bimmers

After a very bad experience with faulty brakes on my Infiniti G35, I was looking for a new car. I never expected to find a car that could possibly replace my G, but this is it. It is a tight well made vehicle that really is fun to drive. Due to my job, I log a lot of hours, but this car makes it easy to hit the road again.

This car is absolutely fun to drive. The steering is razor sharp and extremely responsive. The suspension is tuned perfectly; right comprise between performance and comfort. The engine sounds like a Me109. Everything in this car comes across as intentional and well thought through. Also, the reviewers who are complaining about more room in the back are missing the point: this is meant to be a coupe, and for a coupe, it has plenty of room in the back and trunk space (compare it with other sports coupes). If you really want more room in the back, be realistic and buy a sedan.

A lot of my biz associates and friends have bmws. I attributed it to some sort of clubby snobbery, and thought Lexus was "it"--until I drove a 330i with the sports pkg. I could not believe the solid driving feel and bed like cornering ability. I got all the toys and find myself driving just for the joy of driving. This week I drove over some concrete in the road and blew a tire and scratched the wheel. I had the foresight to get the insurance for the wheels. Brought it to dealer- no problems, new everything n/c all computers checked and brakes reconfigured. I am a reformed lexite.

What a fun drive. I wouldn't recommend for really long trips (one, I couldn't fit all of my luggage into the car, two gas mileage isn't the best - but then I don't keep it to 55 either) but for zipping around town... no doubt about it. Love getting all the extra attention!

I've owned several cars over the past 10 years. All were new compacts. I wanted something that could take passengers to lunch for business but was fun to drive, reasonable gas mileage, and was quiet and comfortable for long trips. I got it all in spades with the 325i I bought. I bought a base model which had more features than I wanted. Finding a manual tranny on a 325i is tough. I replaced the wood trim with aluminum and it looks fantastic. I love the sound of the engine, the handling, the intuitive nature of the controls, and everything about this car. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

I purchased my 330ci convertible with the performance package option and I have no regrets. I love everything about the car, from the growl of the engine to the way it grips the road. I can honestly say that driving this car is such an experience that it will even cheer you up when your having a bad day (or so my friends who drive it say). It is a well engineered and designed automobile. Great job BMW!

We bought this car when we were stationed in Germany and it has been absolutely terrific. The brakes are phenomenal at autobahn speed and the engine is silky smooth. Build quality is excellent. The car is very agile and the steering is almost telepathic. We have been extremely pleased at the fuel mileage both in Europe and here in the States. All in all a wonderful car and a joy to drive!

I have not had my car very long but the few days I have had it I will say I LOVE IT. I have owned many cars in my life and this one is by far is one of my favorites. I love driving this car. I get 26.5 miles per gal but that is better than my other car. I do wish that it was more like 35 per gal but that is the only down side. No biggie, still great fuel economy by far.

A classy, sports sedan. Puts a Porsche to shame. Beautiful, powerful, sure handling - great soft top with more quiet than most sedans. Take regular care of it and it'll probably outlive you and still remain fun!

If you are looking for a fun, vehicle with outstanding performance look no further. This car hugs the road with impressive handling but is so quiet inside you can hear even a pin drop. The interior is nicer than most apartments. Reliability and safety are BMW top priority, just look at all the safety specs and insurance discounts. You must drive one of these!

Bought it with 50,000 miles on it. It’s been such a pleasure to drive. First BMW and convertible. The open air, top down experience is exhilarating. Similar in fun to my motorcycles and boats I’ve owned in the past but much easier and safer all the way around. The E46 series 3 is definitely the ultimate driving machine. Especially for a 73 year old.

The car is over rated for the price, and with a lot unnecessary features that's not need, such as, rain sensor wipers, headlight spray/washer, auto tilt side-mirrors when shifter in reverse... guess it's all about the convenience when you have the money to blow (then again you can have common sense, those features would not be needed!). The cabinet is quiet, unfortunately not quiet enough to dampen the engine noise, which is quite annoying for a luxury car! Anyways, enough said!

I'd never purchase another car that's not a BMW. I drove off of a freeway, at 95mph (with traffic), 120 feet down, jumped a cement culvert, & walked away. The car stayed upright, never rolled.

This car has been a blast to drive. It is truly a "handling" car. It is a bit underpowered at times, but the precision steering through the turns makes up for it. The reliability is a bit questionable. I've never had a serious problem with it, but little nagging things at times. All covered under warranty but still annoying. Would definitely buy another one. They are that much fun and they look classy even in an older body style.

Though this has been my dream car since I was a child, i must say its been a little disappointing, why, I had a gas leak after 8 months of owning this car with all door windows vibrating not making the cabin as quiet as I thought (now fixed). . But with the adjustments, I now have a ding noise in the gas tank when I hit bumps and start the engine after a 2 day storage! Not a good thing. As for smooth ride, I think it has its moments!! But the all wheel drive is exquisite, horsepower is just right and amenities are awesome, I have it all installed from the auto/tranny, the nav to the prem package to the pdc and xenon lights/heated seats. Love the car but will upgrade once my lease is up!

As a new car with decent pricing, the car is not up to the standard: 1) encountered a total electronic system shut-down during a freeway driving. After that, the dealer couldn't figure out the problem; 2) fuel tank has to be replaced after 13K miles, due to its inherent defect (unspecified). After replacement, it is still having trouble taking a full tank. 3) air condition/heater never seems to be working complete fine in "auto" mode.
