Used 2022 Audi SQ5 Consumer Reviews
Comfortable and Powerful
This is the best vehicle I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning in my 60 years of driving. Previous car was an 2014 Audi Q5. Aside from a suspension issue, which was promptly repaired, this 2020 SUV has performed flawlessly. It is very comfortable on long trips and gets a solid 26 mpg in steady highway driving (as calculated by hand and also by the onboard computer, which is amazingly accurate). Would buy Audi again, without hesitation.

Fun support vehicle
UPDATE1: Over the past year I drove the Audi on two separate trips (Quebec and New England), and loved the drive. No issues over 10k miles. Zero regrets on the wheel/ tire change from 21” to 20”. Also added a Stage1 Unitronic tune. Amazing performance enhancement to an already quick vehicle. Bought this CPO Audi used about 6 months ago as a replacement for a 2010 MDX with over 200k mi. It is an extra vehicle to support a 196k mi BMW daily driver. It is also our four-wheel drive transportation for winter driving. It is an amazing vehicle all around (performance, comfort, style, gas mileage - between 25 and 28 on trips). The only gripe I have is the overly intrusive safety system that will break the car automatically when you are trying to take a "left turn" at a busy intersection. Although it can be turned off (must go into the menu on each start up) it's not convenient. I also swapped out the 21" high performance summer tires (defeats the purpose of winter use) with 20" all season tires. With the air suspension 'buttoned down", you do not give up any performance attributes.

Quietly de-badged
I Pace S is classy and makes you look like a hairdresser, AMG GLC and X3 M are from the Hammer House of Horrors so is it the Macan ? But why pay for that little clock on the dash, but then again you would need to have some original thought to take the best all rounder.

Thermostat failure
My 2018 SQ5 is not even 2 years old and it experienced its thermostat failure. I noticed low coolant level, burn rubber smell, fan running high and eventually the engine light on. It looks like this will be a common issue with this model as folks have been reporting this problem on audiworld.com. This issue may eventually cause a head gasket to be blown if a thermostat is not replaced. It took a week for the dealer to replace it. Other than this, car is great. Disappointed though, expected better reliability from a reputable European auto maker.

Impressed
I like fast cars but I also like performance and practical vehicles I’ve owned 2 Porsche’s 2 bmw’s and I loved myGolf R but this Audi gives me a luxury ride with performance when I wantMy wife is so much more comfortable in the SQ5 than she was in the R. I compared the Macan and GLC and was very disappointed in the Mercedes performance sure it was fast but the car just felt barely controlled while the Macan.just didn’t match the feeling of total completeness I got from the SQ5.I’ve owned it for 6 months and feel this is an accurate review.
