A great family car
What we like about the car - Reliable & dependable car - Powerful driving experience ( mostly driven in bay area and socal ) - Great for families ( storage works for us) . We can travel with grandparents too :p - Love the drive assist feature ( drove from SF to LA to SD multiple times without any issues) - Low maintenance so far ( year 4 ) Space for improvement - Bigger screen for entertainment cockpit. Focus on wireless driven features. - Media UX can be improved ( hard to find some features ) - Would love to upgrade to an all electric Audi Q7 but an equal model is not available. - Buying experience could be improved, dealerships are a hassle, but thats an whole industry level issue.

No Power
I purchased Audi Q7 for the third row seat. However after purchasing it, I found the car to lack power, the engine is constatly running over 4500 RMP just to keep up the speed. My last car was GL450 much bigger SUV, and it was running just little over 2200 RMP to keep up the speeds. If your are purchasing the Q7 make sure to purchase one with 3.0 V6, you will be very disappointed in the V4 turbo 2.0.

HORRIBLE - I hate it!!!!
I bought this car in November, 4 months later I’m selling it and going back to Lexus. Garage door opener, hatch release and HORN do NOT function unless the engine is on. Parked in a parking lot with the engine off and the remote key in my pocket, I was about to get out of the car when another vehicle was backing straight into my driver’s door. I slammed on the horn, which does absolutely nothing when the engine is off. I couldn’t open my door for fear of getting hit. Why can’t the horn honk without the engine being on?? Aside from it being a safety hazard, it seems like a fairly easy thing to have functioning without the engine. ALL Audi’s need to have the engine on in order for the horn to function. It’s not a Q7 issue, it’s a Volkwagen issue…in fact, I believe it’s all German cars.
