Finally Found My Car!
I've owned and leased several different makes of cars & SUVs. The Audi A6 has been the best by far! I moved from a Q3 to the A6 for it's cargo space. It's very responsive, has great gas mileage, and handles wonderfully in the rain, ice & snow. The back support makes for a comfortable long drive. The only very small inconvenience I've noticed is that the front arm rest is too close to the cup holder, making larger cups impossible to fit. I would also recommend Alex at Audi Kirkwood as a sales brand specialist. He was honest, professional, EXTREMELY knowledgeable & patient during the entire process.

A sporty sedan with wonderful safety & luxury
The supercharged engine in the 3.0 Prestige Quattro delivers powerful acceleration (0-60mph in just over 5 seconds), quietly and with excellent fuel economy (averaging 24mpg even with a lot of rush-hour stop-and-go driving). Its ride is smooth yet taut, with just a touch of stiffness noticeable when going over real bumps, but that's a quibble. On good highway it seems plush. Its all-wheel-drive and standard 18" wheel-and-tire package make it agile yet surprisingly serene and controlled. The tires are non-runflats, and there's a compact spare in the trunk. (Many high-end or sport models are equipped with 19" or even 20" wheels but I suggest avoiding them if you want a smooth ride. The look of large wheels is sporty but the 18" tires balance excellent ride and responsiveness, and are less expensive to replace.) You can also vary your setting the acceleration, steering weight, and suspension stiffness for "Comfort," "Dynamic," or "Automatic" (changing according to how aggressively you drive, which works well for my wife and me). Visibility is excellent, as are seat comfort and adjustability in the front. The back seat seems a bit lacking in thigh support to me (so I rated it just "OK" since it's not quite "Great"), but it's certainly spacious, and the Prestige comes with 3-zone rear climate controls and also (in ours, at least) a powered rear sunshade, which effectively reduces glare and discomfort in the summertime. There are also manual side-window shades. Heated seats are standard for the front but only an option for the rear, unfortunately not included in ours. However, I am normally up front either as a driver or passenger, and we did get the ventilated/air-conditioned seats there. These are great, with 3 levels of air speed (plus Off). Other things I like: The gear shift lever is basically mechanical, which I really prefer over the mostly "virtual" electronic shift lever on my BMW. The very spacious and well-finished trunk has automatic foot-waving open and pushbuttons for power close or close-and-lock. It has an elegant and good-size center screen for the parking cameras, menus, GPS navigation, etc. that slides out and tilts up almost like Mr. Sulu's weapons control system in Star Trek (and automatically retracts upon shutoff). In addition, there's a small area in the center of the dash between the speedo and tachometer that can also display nav maps/directions, radio controls, trip info, and other settings. The entertainment system includes a CD/DVD player with a built-in hard drive "jukebox" for up to about 15 CDs (plus SD card slots for adding more, but I think you have to use a PC to record those). The sound is excellent and the controls fairly intuitive, but one slight annoyance is its insistence on turning on the radio or CD (to your last source) whenever you restart the car or exit some other control. Also, the 360-degree or top-view cameras work great. The rear camera comes on automatically in reverse. However, the front camera has to be turned on manually by pushing a button instead of coming on automatically as it does in my BMW when pulling into the garage or approaching any parking barrier or curb, one reason I rated the system just "OK" and not "Great." But if I could I would actually rate it Very Good; the top view is clearer than in the BMW. Safety features are outstanding with the Prestige which has blind spot monitoring/warning (with lights and vibration of the steering wheel), front collision warning and automatic braking (that may have prevented an accident at least once) at medium to highway speeds, lane departure warning, and automatic cruise control with variable distance. All of these systems can also be switched off if you prefer, but they work well and are not so intrusive. The default distance control for auto cruise control is a little too cautious, causing it to brake the car when a passing car returns to my lane even with a reasonable distance, so I generally decide to reduce the response distance by at least 1 or 2 clicks. (But then when a car ahead really brakes, there's less room to react, so you might be in for a little "thrill" when it demonstrates the impressive braking capabilities of the A6.) I gave the navigation system only an "OK" rating rather than "Great" because the built-in system seems to be less savvy in finding addresses than BMW's, and it can be a bit frustrating to use if you aren't very practiced. But it has a handwriting recognition pad and the voice-input does indeed work if you know how to ask, so it's still really "Very Good." Also, I gave the Bluetooth system only an "OK" since it cannot connect to Apple CarPlay via Bluetooth, only via cable, whereas my '19 BMW has added that capability. But the Bluetooth does a fine job if you don't need CarPlay (and the built-in system may actually be preferable, especially with an up-to-date interface offered by the 2019 A6 or BMW). All of the preceding criticisms are really minor. Overall, it's a wonderful car.

1st time Audi afte BMW
Expensive car but really fabulous to drive in. Looks classy with an understated prestige that grabs attention. In a recent trip to Vermont, handled superbly up 4500 feet mountains during a snow blitz with 3-5 inches of the fluffy stuff on the ground with temps around 22F. The only car that was climbing up teh mountaisn at night!!

Update to Prior Review
All that was said before remains the same. Have had a bit more trouble with car losing or burning oil-about a quart between changes. Have had consumption testing done at dealership with little explanation except that the car may burn a quart between changes. I really think they recommend too thin a synthetic oil, but that drives up the mileage. Haven't tried a thicker oil yet and likely will wait until summer to do so. I bought a 2018 Volvo XC60 for my wife. She likes the ride, comfort and handling of the A6 so much better, she insisted that I trade cars with her. After almost 49 years of marriage, what does one say. I'm okay with the Volvo, but likely will trade in the next year or two for an Audi/Porsche/VW product. This car is fun to drive, quiet, comfortable, powerful but great on gas. The only gripe is oil consumption because no new car should burn oil between changes.

Love my Audi A6
I just bought a new-to-me Audi A6, a 2018 model with 7,700 miles on it when I purchased it. It was in perfect condition when I bought it and after a thousand miles of driving, I'm very happy with my purchase. I pretty much love everything about the car and only have two minor complaints; (1) the interior compartment and storage space for miscellaneous thing seems a bit small to me an I wish the compartments were a bit bigger and (2) when you use Android Auto, your phone has to be connected to the car via a USB cable rather than connecting through bluetooth (like the native MMI system) which is somewhat inconvenient. Otherwise, I love the car and highly recommend it to others interested in a luxury sports sedan.
