In January 2001, I purchased an Audi A4, 1.8 turbo, with quattro new. A little over 20 years, I'm still driving it with its original engine. I have just over 250,000 miles on it. I'm still loving the handling and size of the car. Not sure what would get me to stop driving the car. When I have it serviced at Audi and get a loaner car, the new Audi vehicle feel more like a tank in size. A very nice tank, but a tank.

I bought this car over a year ago. I usually tire of things quickly, but I still LOVE this car. The engine is great, instruments and accessories are great quality, and it handles like a dream. I have the quattro suspension, and my husband and I tried to make it spin out in a gravel parking lot and in rain. It wouldn't budge off the road. Made it through the whole winter without a single slide or fishtail. I feel very safe in this car. This car has quality written all over it.

fell apart

i love the look and feel of the audi A4 but now that I own one i dont know if I'd ever buy another. I bought a 2001 in October of 2003, only three years old and within 4 months of owning it I had to replace the entire engine, due to sludge build up (not caused by myself but a defect in the engine-not under recall). I've had the car for a year and a half and every two months there seems to be something else wrong with it. I've replaced the tires, engine, battery, water pump and control arm, totaling $9,000. Maybe if I bought this car brand new it would have been great, but after a couple years, it just fell apart.

This is the best car I have ever owned. It is practical yet is a total blast to drive. I love whipping around the interstate ramps in this car - it really hunkers down in the twisties with very little body roll noticeable. My wife loves it too. I have a hard time getting her to let me drive it. The optional Bose sound system rocks. It did very well in the snow/ice the past two winters with all-season tires. It is bolted together very tightly - no rattles or squeaks after 2+ years of driving over the terrible St. Louis city roads. Very reliable.

I bought this car a week ago and 1 day later the radio buttons went out, a headlight wire was loose and the cupholder needed to be replaced because it stuck. The radio was also replaced. I wonder what is next and am afraid to take it on a long trip for fear something will stop working.
