It has set a new Standard for Luxury

It has set a new standard for Luxury. When you look at the price of any of the cars in its class and the price tag that goes along with them, why spend more when everything is standard in the RL and it has so many more amazing features like the Real time traffic, DVD Audio, Active Front Lighting system and especially Super Handlind Rear Wheel drive..nothing else touches it! There is so much value here, and talk about fun to drive!

RL the new "Legend"

I've been waiting for this car. I traded in my 94 Legend and couldn't be happier. My only wish is that they rename it and bring back the "Legend" name. I've always liked the "no add ons" "all included" aspects of the RL. It drives great with more power than I need. I'm still learning all the new high tech aspects and it is a challenge to not be distracted by the technology (messages, voice commands, etc) while driving. Since there aren't a lot of new RLs on the road yet I get quite a lot of attention and questions from interested people. All are impressed with its looks. I also drive an X5. The X5 is great for a weekly commute I do (523 miles) because its higher and I feel safer in it.

very happy with my purchase. this is a solid, super-handling vehicle. i test drove bimmers, audis, and have a c- class. This car is better than those vehicles. And the telematics are just a bonus. Looking forward to getting the AWD in the snow.

Good alternative to Lexus

My other car is a 2004 Lexus LS430 which I like so much I thought of buying a second, until I drove the RL. RL is a little nicer inside (design), sportier (handles much better), and a little more high tech feeling. The Lexus is quieter (despite the active sound dampening) and quicker and more responsive below 3500 rpm (320 ft/lbs). The Acura feels much stronger in the 4500-6500 range and the engine really likes to rev (unlike the Lexus V8 that loves to high idle around town). Even stepping out of the smoothest quietest car on the road (the LS 430), the RL feels very smooth, slick, quiet & sporty all at the same time. For $49K, it is also a steal!

Love My RL

I am a car buff and an Audi junkie. My last 7 cars have been Audi A6's or it's equivalent (i.e. 100, 5000). When I decided to buy the RL I was hoping I would not suffer Audi separation distress. No problem. The RL is a joy to drive. It is geared so well, I never use the auto stick which I used 100% of the time when driving the A6. The radio is the best I have ever heard in an automobile. The ride is a perfect blend between sporty responsiveness and comfort. Steering is awesome with good feedback from the road and great on-center control. Seating is extremely comfortable. I am a Realtor and the NAV system is the best I have ever used. The all wheel drive is the best out there.
