Purchased a little over a month ago with 48000 miles on the clock, there's not a whole lot to report. The VUE has gone back to the shop for a new water pump, but I don't consider that unusual. What with the recent drastic weather, the VUE has performed admirably in the snow as well as on warm, dry days. Yes, the VUE is far from perfect. The steering is noisy at low speeds and the suspension rattles with anything less than perfect blacktop. Although it runs fine, it feels flimsy. It's also comfortable and doesn't tire me out on long drives like so many others seem to. The steering is good but offers no feedback. Fuel economy is adequate, about 22 mpg overall. So far, so good.
Gauges are big. No complaints from any of the seats. Visibility good. Very easy to get in and out. Front passenger seat fold flat to form a makeshift desk/table. Clever pop-up holder in the back great for shopping bags, plus two cubbies that each hold one gallon containers.
Build quality isn't poor, but feels that way. Engine is noisy, but not unpleasant. CD listeners will hate the numerous skips. Windshield washers merely adequate. Needs grab handles for passengers. Glove box doesn't lock. Interior looks cheap. Rear seat doesn't fold flat. Cupholders too low.
