Drives like a Lexus LS460

I have had five Ford F-150 including two raptors. I test drove the Ram 1500 Limited and the ride was incredible. It reminded me of my 2009 Lexus LS 460 . I really liked the soft Lexus ride. It could not believe that the Ram 1500 Limited drives like a Lexus as a result of the Air suspension. I immediately purchased the vehicle .

Love the drive and the plush interior. My last 4 cars from oldest to most recent were BMW, and then 3 consecutive Audis and I have to say, this truck is a pleasure to drive. Definitely different from the German engineering and tight suspension but a delight to drive. Updating my review after 1 year and 16k miles. Still loving the truck. I have the turbo diesel and took the family to Florida last summer. Averaged 32 mpg while averaging 78 mph. Absolutely no issues thus far. Update Jan. 2024. Have owned the truck for 2 years. 33500 miles. Still running great. Love the 4 cyl eco diesel mpg. I’m shocked that after 2 years there have been no rattles, etc.

Piece of Junk - Death Trap

I bought a brand new 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie and it’s been the worst purchase of my life. They hybrid battery pack failed and the truck went whacko and shut off mid drive, while my kids were in the car and on the way to school. It took several weeks to get it back. I’m only at 10,000 miles and now the infotainment system is crapping out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Brand new truck and I have to use my cell phone for Waze/navigation. I’m extremely concerned about my families well being in this truck. Dealers don’t seem to care at all. Beyond frustrating to by this pretty expensive truck and for it to basically be a lemon.

75 Thousand should get you better

I have now put about 3500 miles on my 2022 Longhorn Limited with E-tron mild hybrid 5.7 liter gas Hemi engine. I paid 75,000 for the truck. The only options it does not have are two I would have really liked had I known. Air Suspension and the tool box in the bed sides. I bought this truck after going to Ford wanted who wanted 10 grand over sticker for an F-15 on the lot and 2-5 grand over sticker on F-150 orders. I paid 1800.00 over sticker on this truck for the dealers "appearance" package. Meaning their checkbook appeared to get bigger. What I love about the truck. 1. The ride for a big truck is nice. Coil springs in the back make a difference. I have not towed with this truck yet but feel confident in the ability. Tons of power 2. Shifting is smoooooth. Very smooth. Cannot feel it. 3. The interior is one of the best. For 75 grand it should be. The layout is almost perfect. 4. Comfortable seats and with the added heat and vent for A/C. Huge cabin. I could live here. Looks great, leather is beautiful. Real wood and mental accents including belt buckles for the rear seat pockets. Nice touch. Plenty of storage. 5.Gas mileage is better than expected. I use Cruise Control a bunch and have been able to get 20.5 miles to the gallon at the top end, avg around 18.5 overall. 6. Infotainment System is mostly awesome. 12 in screen in great and you can split screen. 7. Rear view mirror has a camera option that gives you a very clear picture of the rear, behind the truck. 8. Sensors all around are accurate and everywhere. Good in a big truck. Things I do not like. 1. Fit and finish- The interior has a gap or two and things stick up when they should not. Had a dent inside the drivers door from delivery. Did not notice it right away. Who would? 2. Transmission from stop. Sometimes get kicked like a mule at start up sometimes. Not always but sometimes. 3. The adaptive Cruise Control is scary at times, really shoddy if you ask me compared to a 24 thousand dollar Honda Accord. Examples: If a car is exiting, the truck will slam on the brakes even after the car is fully out of your lane, like its tracking the car and not what is in front of you. Can cause rear end collisions. Start Stop can leave you on the highway. When traffic starts moving again in front of you, you have to step on the gas to get the truck moving, or you sit there like a fool waiting. 4. The Auto door unlock feature is only on the front two doors. Annoying. 5. Lane Keep assist is VERY weak. Not really worth having. Honda Accord I had 3 years ago had a great system with minimal corrections. The truck oversteers dramatically and will pull you out of the lane into the next lane. 6. Brakes are already squeaking at 3200 miles. May have squeaked before that but its just started getting nice out. Windows down you can hear the squeaks. 7. Infotainment center goes blank from time to time, switches to radio and back to blue tooth. Steve UPDATE: I spent 80 thousand dollars on this truck. Makes me feel stupid while I type this. The adaptive cruise control will get me killed someday. It’s that bad. Like a five year old programmed it. The 12 inch screen is great but wonky. Bluetooth comes and goes and the screen is sometimes unresponsive. Gas mileage is ok. 16-18 miles to a gallon. Truck is very comfortable and so far two years in, nothing major…yet. Starting wheel cracked at the top (laminate) and is being replaced. Maybe all 2020 to 2022 vehicles are like this due yo COVID but..80,000 is a lot of money to pay for a just ok truck. Hey Ford, want to sell me a hybrid f-150? PS. It’s a Long Horn Limited model. No air suspension or tool box in bed.

Honest Review

I really wanted to love this truck, but the V6 e-torque is total garbage - gas mileage isn’t even close to advertised (I am averaging 12.5 mpg combined) and it randomly chugs / sputters while accelerating. I’ve taken it in too many times to count. It’s roomy and looks great inside and out. Radio & backup camera is garbage too. No recalls though?
