I bought a 2008, new, hybrid Mazda Tribute fully loaded SUV for my grand-daughter. We have two Lexus 400h 2006 cars and I used to own a 2004 Prius. The hybrid Mazda is the same as the Escape hybrid but the interior in the Mazda is superior to the Escape and the Mariner. I bought the Mazda in California in a limited inventory program in 2008. I agree with some of ... Read More
A newbie here, so have patience please. Saw a few new 2008 400h's at the local Lexus dealer. Said Lexus is apportioning them around just ahead of 2010's coming out. "Big incentives" (no specifics). Told me to come up with a number. OK, so here's what I consider a place to start discussion: KBB resale value (http://www.kbb.com/KBB/NewCars/ResaleValue/2008_Lexus_RX%20400h_197927.aspx) If this is the value of the car after I walk out of the ... Sure...Lexus of Bellevue is where I have the matching quote which was from Stevens Creek down in San Jose. We work with Brian from Lexus of Bellevue and so far, we've really liked him.
Just bought new 2008 RX 400h AWD fully loaded, but no Levinson audio. MSRP $50,995, negotiated down to $39,845, out of the door price $41,100. Great sales experience, even waived the processing fee. This is the second car I have bought from this dealership, quality operation.
I had a 2008 ML350 which was a great car. I could not get beyond 15MPG with my running around burb driving. When the gas went to 4.69 a gallon for premium, I panicked, traded by 3100 mile Benz for a 2008 RX400H. I had owned three or 4 RX models (gasoline) and was always happy although they were slightly underpowered. The RX400h is quick, but it is not built as ... Read More
Sure, you can get sticker shock at the gas station, but you don't have to give up your sport-utility vehicle. You don't even have to give up the carlike luxury trimmings you've come to expect as part of the SUV experience. That's what the 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec and 2008 Lexus RX 400h are meant for. Diesel Vs. Hybrid: We Debate Two Technologies
I have been looking at buying a 2008 RX400h. I don't buy a new car very often, so I am a bit reluctant to buy a car that will be an "old design" (as compared to the re-designed 2010). I figure that Lexus will incorporate design changes based on nearly four years of production and customer feedback. I know there are always risks associated with buying a "new model", but it ... Just picked up my 2008 RX 400h -- love it. Mileage will improve after a few thousand -- as happened with the Honda Insight, Honda Civic Hybrid, and Prius, I'm sure. But already getting 25-28 on various trips around suburbia and commuting into DC. I brought it in for a day for XM and hitch installation -- and had an RX 350 loaner -- and it had 19.5 mpg over 13,000 ... Read More
