if the check engine light is coming on (even for a split second), bring it to an auto parts store and ask to borrow their code reader. Where I live, all auto parts stores let you borrow theirs for free, granted they try to sell you the parts to repair your car...when the light comes on, the car will throw a code...that should tell you what's going on. As for the key, it sounds like you might be moving the steering wheel after you turn the car off. turning the steering wheel when the car is off engages the wheel lock and you'll have to fiddle with the steering wheel while turning the key at your next restart...that should be the problem...just don't move the steering wheel after you turn off the car.Report it
Yeah these Impala models are not so reliable. The problem about the pedal sticking on the floor, its a recall problem and you should send it to the chevy dealer to get it fix.Report it
