2009 Chevrolet Impala LT 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 4A)
I was given my 09 impala as a graduation gift from my grandmother just a few months ago and it was a perfectly fine car until last week, i'm not sure if other people have these problems but I do and i makes me wanna sell the car at this point. First sometimes the key won't turn i have to physically move the steering wheel and push up in the shifter thing behind the steering wheel and then it will start, and the other problem i experience is that if I am waiting at a light or a stop sign for more then 10 seconds and i go to press the gas the break pedal sticks and the car revs up and burns gas. And when it dooes this the check engine light comes on for a split second, anyone else like this?

if the check engine light is coming on (even for a split second), bring it to an auto parts store and ask to borrow their code reader. Where I live, all auto parts stores let you borrow theirs for free, granted they try to sell you the parts to repair your car...when the light comes on, the car will throw a code...that should tell you what's going on. As for the key, it sounds like you might be moving the steering wheel after you turn the car off. turning the steering wheel when the car is off engages the wheel lock and you'll have to fiddle with the steering wheel while turning the key at your next restart...that should be the problem...just don't move the steering wheel after you turn off the car.

Yeah these Impala models are not so reliable. The problem about the pedal sticking on the floor, its a recall problem and you should send it to the chevy dealer to get it fix.
