GREAT car, when it runs**

1999 Cadillac Eldorado Touring 2dr Coupe
I loved this car very much, and it was a blast to drive. the problem is, before 60,000 miles it needed an engine, and a transmission 10k later. I babied this car, followed the owners manual maintenance religiously, yet it was issue after issue. replaced the engine, transmission, alternator 3 times, ECM twice, and shocks, all before 70,000 miles. Also, thank GOD I had an aftermarket warranty, because the engine cost over $10,000 to replace, and the transmission cost 4,000$.
Every oil change you need to put in Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the engine, (also add some to the transmission) I have two 1999 Eldo`s, one with 347,496 miles on it and the other with only 71,029 miles they both run great. Both cars have the original engines and transmissions in them. I worked for CADILLAC FROM 71 TO 99 THE BIG BOSSES DID NOT CARE If we had not finish perfecting are engine design or not so who paid the price? Joe Q Public thats who!
I am 78 years old, so i don`t give a rat`s
As*! Half of the stuff we designed, they purposely put crap over it, to make people bring it back to the dealership
