I have owned a 2005 Buick Rainier for almost two years. I loved my SUV until a few months ago. In October I had to have the secondary air injection pump and valve replaced at a price of $732.99. I understand cars need to have things fixed so I was ok with that. This month the truck seems to not have as much power. It has a strong gas smell when ... Read More

Hi I see we are going through the same problem. I purchased a Buick Rainier 04 in 2007 and this car is driving me crazy. Like yours, I have faced numerous problems. I'm still paying this car also. I was in school during the last 2 years and it was so hard to make the payment because I was working part time. Fall 2009 I had a catalytic converter broken. I ... I have a 2004 Rainier. You would think they would've solved a few of those issues by the next year, but that's a big NO. I will give them credit in that some of the problems don't appear right away. The biggest pet peeve is their lack to acknowledge the problems. We are all having these problems and spent ALOT of money for these vehicles. They could care less. Every time ... Read More

Do I need to have this replaced? Is this going to affect my vehicle's performance? Will I be able to drive the car? Does this only impact emissions? Is this a necessary element of the engine? It's about 100 degrees here and getting into my 2005 Buick Rainier is not a pleasant experience. We turn the A/C on and it blows hot air. It has to run for quite a while to get it to cool, but once it does decide to cool, it's cold. I read in another post the following..." It seem to me that all Rainiers have the same problem. I said this becaused I bought one from 2005 and I just came from the dealer with the same problem and they want to charge me almost $ 600 to fix it. I guest Biuck knows about the problem and not want to do anything about it. I will be sending a very angry letter to Buick.

The disturbance becomes more noticeable if the cross rails are placed in positions over the driver ... Read More
