Used 2008 Volvo V50 Wagon Consumer Reviews
Nothing but problems
It had 5k miles when purchased from the dealership — it was the loaner vehicle. For a small car it got terrible gas mileage. I’ve never spent more on repairs. It was one thing after another. So many electrical issues. The steering wheel would lock, apparently an anti-theft feature that would prevent me from being able to drive it. After the 4th time I had to have it towed I was done with it. The tire sensor malfunctioned which was an expensive repair and the indicator would stay on. Maybe I had a lemon, but owning this car turned me off to Volvo’s forever. I spent a ton on repairs.

not good
sad, headgasket blew, sold it for scrap $500, do not buy any used VOLVO, parts all super costly, the car will fall apart on you after 5 years.

Volvo V50 AWD 2008
I wanted a hatchback with AWD but the choices were limited. This was a good alternative and I am not disappointed. This car is well built, fun to drive, and not an SUV. The handling is better than expected. The only thing lacking is better MPG.
