Great hybrid
Car rides very smoothly with lots of power. The increased electric range and power makes daily all electric driving practical. New android system takes some getting use to and surprisingly loses some nice features the old Sensus system had.

This Volvo is a sleeper and way under rated
I’ve loved owning this car. I’m averaging 75 mpg in gas so usually driving over 1,000 miles between fill-ups. If you have a shorter commute I’m sure you could do way better. I’m charging on a 120 outlet and it takes 15 hrs to charge completely, which is slower than what I thought I’d read on their website. So I typically don’t have a full charge either. The one pedal driving is awesome. The interior feels very premium and the car is extremely quiet in Pure. I really like that every door will unlock or lock the car. The Bowsers and Wilkins is good, but not sure I say exceptional or worth the price tag. I like the Google system. It’s not outstanding, but it’s responsive and generally works well. There is a lot of bad press around it, but it does everything I need it to do. A technology gripe is the instrument cluster. It’s either blank or has the Google map. I use Waze on the center screen so would love an option to have music info in the center display. Also burying the drive modes two or three touch screens deep is dumb for a company all about safety. It takes a good bit of focus away from driving to get there. And not have wireless CarPlay is a bit annoying. Final complaint, I don’t think this car tells you tire pressures? Overall, I love it and would buy again in a heartbeat.

2023 Volvo S60 B5 AWD HIDDEN GEM
This car is beautiful inside and out! Ride is supple, stable and transmission is smooth as silk. Seats are excellent! A few things to note: The mild hybrid controls the Auto Start Stop system and it is seamless. In my older Volvo I used to disable Auto Start Stop immediately but in the 2023 is nearly invisible. NOTE: You cannot DISABLE Auto Start Stop in the new Google Infotainment System. At first, I was very worried about this but like I said--no problem at all with the Mild-Hybrid. If necessary, when you are in really heavy stop and go traffic, just put the transmission in M mode (Manual) and this will disable Auto-Start Stop system. I find the new Google Infotainment system very easy to use. Google Assistant can do almost everything with voice commands! Google Maps is in the center of the dash display--LOVE THIS! Car has optional 19 inch wheels with 235/40/19. Even with the larger wheels (which I did not want but came with the car) the suspension is still very comfortable. This car is made for luxury not sport! Superb materials throughout the car. Panoramic moonroof gives light and airy feel to interior. Harmon Kardon sound system worth the upgrade! Denim Blue/Blonde Interior is a gorgeous combination, in my opinion. The 2023 Volvo S60 is built in South Carolina. Treat yourself and go test drive the car! The PLUS trim is outstanding--leather. 360 camera, Pilot Assist, etc. GREAT CAR!

A hidden gem
Just completed first 1000 miles on my 2024 S60 Recharge. A lot of positives so far. Extremely comfortable, very quiet cabin, user friendly touch screen and excellent performance. Since most of my daily driving is less than 45 miles I use very little gas, currently at 156mpg for all miles driven. Cabin could use more storage spaces, but no big deal. I leased before the year ended to get the $7500 off of capitalized cost. Have the option to purchase at lease end for $31k. No additional garage wiring was required, just use standard 110 outlet and it charges overnight. If you install a 220 circuit charging is much faster. Now seven months into lease, no problems at all. MPG has been as high as 335. Recent 500 mile road trip drops that down. Transition from battery to engine is quite seamless. One additional bonus, the Vapor Gray never looks dirty..Sorry to hear Volvo dropping this model after 2025.

Best car I've ever owned!
I live in the Midwest where charging infrastructure is lacking to support EV travel. The hybrid system is ideal for this part of the country. I charge in my garage and start the day with a fresh 40+ miles every day. It's like somebody stops by by garage and puts two gallons of gas in the car every night while I'm sleeping. Seriously, I do all my local errands on battery and only use gas for distance driving. I'm retired so I don't have the daily commute and only fill up about once a month. If I need to replenish the battery I can do that on the highway without stopping to charge. The one pedal driving and regenerative brakes save lots of wear on brake pads. The seats are very comfortable and the interior is very quiet. All in all it is the best of both worlds; EV and ICE.
