Used 2004 Volvo S60 Consumer Reviews
oops
bought the 2.4t liked the looks of it. Plenty of room up front with supportive seats, to bad the leather is falling apart after 3 months. Highway driving is noisy, lots of wind noise crap tires I bought the sport package with the 17" rims. When turning the wheel full lock the tires rub against wells. At times I feel like i'm driving a cheap car.
Who knew a Volvo could be this much fun?
It's strange to think that I'm driving one of the faster yet also one of the safer cars on the road. With a car of this caliber, a manual transmission is a must. Auto shouldn't even be offered. Pretty much set on buying the 330xi until I noticed the R existed -- on this web site as a matter of fact.

Too Much Fun for Short Trips
The S60R is clearly the best undercover performance car I've ever driven. I traded my Volvo T5 for it just after it was released in April 2003. Its power is exhilerating and it has a lot of "pedal" in gears 3 through 6.
Superb with few exceptions
This car is extraordinarily comfortable (in the front seat) and very handsomely styled. The back seat legroom is tight, but not uncomfortable. Open road performance is quite good in acceleration and braking. Holds curves well at higher speeds. Advanced suspension setting is unusable for roads in my area - other settings are good. The premium sound system is very average. Why anyone would want Dolby Prologic for their non-Prologic encoded music is beyond me. H.K. should have offered a better surround mode.
fun
The last two years of ownership were a joy. Great power, excellent design and workmenship similar to Japanese products.
