Poor Tire Performer
I have been disappointed with my vehicle since I purchased it. The tire sensor is on regularly, even after numerous repairs. The tires wear quickly and are expensive. Rotating every three months is a most. The interior wears poorly also. The door panels, garage opener panel have rubbed off from use. The wood look panels have cracked. Not a good buy.
Total ruin
Just avoid yourself a total nightmare and don't buy this car. I did, loved the look of it and it only had 98,000 miles. I'm European, had VW Golf GTI years ago and thought it would be more or less., how wrong I was. It fails accelerating, it takes a few seconds to respond. It's had 3 electrical breakdowns in less than a year averaging $1,000 each time. After the repairs the acceleration seemed better but after a while it did again. I've replaced a couple parts like the right front window motor $700, mirror $180 and now seat rail motor for which they wanted over $600. I've found one in e bay for a lot less, hope it works, I still have to put it in. If I sell it now, which I'm afraid it is the only option I have considering the rate this machine sucks money, I will have lost quite a few thousands. It really makes me mad. A car of this quality shouldn't fail this way, I've had most economic basic cars responding a lot better than this one. It' a ripoff.

Terrible car to own
I don't know where the positive reviews on this truck is coming from. The electrical problem on truck will almost run you bankrupt. It constantly has one problem or the other. To change a battery alone . You should be looking at $400 . VW has the battery under the driver seat to make money i guess. Most of VW technician don't know much about the electrical problem with this truck and 9 out of 10 times advise you to get rid of it. You will not be happy in the long run if you own this vehicle.

Just hand over your paycheck
This was a beautiful car, fun to drive until it had issues. You need deep pockets and a love for VW to repair this thing. I feel once the first thing went wrong it fell apart. I should have listened to my mechanic and avoided this vehicle. I was told this was the worst model made. I felt compelled to let others buyers know, it's not worth the head ache. Buyer beware. Look at another vehicle if you know what is best for you.

I hate my car
Reading the other negative reviews before I started mine made me feel vindicated. The dealership made me feel like I was nuts. The transmission is terrible - going around curves slowly the car bucks like a bronco, and God forbid I have to take my foot off the gas pedal. Once in awhile for no reason, the transmission will make a loud "clunking" noise like I've just run over something. It scares me to death and then of course makes me furious. I have had nothing but trouble with the electrical system; if I believed the displays I've had braking problems, tire pressure issues, etc. FYI - don't expect the tires to last to 20K miles. Plus, this is the "beepiest" car I've ever owned! YUCK!
