Driving this car was not only fun but comfortable, you have to love that 2.0T engine, once it gets going you can really feel the turbo kick in! With 200hp I'm loving this car, my Dad has a 2006 Passat with the same 200hp 2.0T engine but his was way more expensive, only has a few more features. I never want to get out of the car when I'm driving it, since I bought it just a week ago I have yet to notice anything wrong with the car. There is no road noise and a smooth ride, especially on corners going 30 mph ;) the car stays just like you were going straight on a road! The bi-xenon headlights on pkg. #2 help in seeing the road ahead as well.

Two month review

After a 1,000 mile break-in period in town, we took our Jetta on a 2,000 mile round trip from Florida to the high elevations of North Carolina. We were very impressed with the guts of this diesel engine on very steep terrain. It had no problems passing uphill! The biggest complaint we have are the front seats. They are very uncomfortable! One of the best features are the back seats that fold forward allowing for plenty of luggage and our 100 pound black labrador. We would, however, like the seats to fold flat. The cruise control is somewhat confusing as it is right next to the directional signal control. So far our average fuel economy has been 36 city and 42 highway. Overall we are very pleased.

Traded in a BMW 540i for my 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Value Edition. What a surprise! This car is just as comfortable, has a larger trunk, wonderful sound system, and great looking with 17" wheels. I drove it to AZ from TN and it hanled great in all weather conditions and road conditions. I get an average of 45 mpg.

Great car. One of the few cars to get better than EPA estimated mileage. Actually the EPA was way off and even further off with their new testing. EPA est was 36/42. We have averaged 41.1 mpg and it does not see the highway that often. We got over 49 mpg on one trip with 4 passengers and luggage! Has been extremely reliable.
