Awesome car! This is my second electric car, but the difference is just amazing. This feels like a spaceship! Smooth ride, intricate electronics, and German build quality. This is the best car I’ve ever bought.

this car is a joke - the mileage is about 100 miles per charge - if you drive very slowly and not push it at all you might get 150 or so. The back up camera is very distorted. not a find car to drive - after owning several luxury vehicles. you need to shop around before you buy this car

ID4 is NOT SAFE FOR WINTER DRIVING!!!

1) Don't buy a EV without a heatpump 2) Don't buy ID4 rear wheel driving for Northern states - it is not safe! (read below) 3) Don't buy ID4. Go buy a Tesla. Hello a prospect buyer. I purchased a used car a year ago. It is a 2021 rear wheel drive ID4 1st series. Immediately after purchasing I faced the problem with the cracking sound from the roof. The roof was replaced after multiple scandals with the dealership. Then I realized the lack of a Heat Pump for winter season is a real problem - not sure why Germans decided to get rid of it for cold Northern states and Canada - the most stupid decision. DONT BUY THIS CAR unless VW decides to put the heat pump back. THE MOST IMPORTANT: after installing the winter tires at a dealership, an Anti slip system started to engage hindering acceleration. A couple of times I WAS ALMOST HIT BY A TRUCK when merging to the highway. VW representative was trying to fix this issue - without any luck. For now I swapped the tires back to all seasons and it drives normally - but on the snow this is not an option. VW is now figuring out what to do as I ordered the tires from an official dealership, and it was Michelin that had been approved by VW to use on ID4. After I swapped back the summer tires, the battery shows 210 miles of range instead of the 260 miles... again, to make it clear: DONT BUY THIS JUNK!!! I REGRET THIS PURCHASE AS I NEVER HAD!!!!

My First and Last Volkswagen!

I’ve had my 2021 PRO S for almost 2 years now. Range was so-so but with the free charging for 3 years at the electrify America charging stations I was not complaining. It started taking a dark turn towards end of 2023. After months of waiting the recall service was scheduled. it took 6 months followup and 1 instance of wrong scheduling by the recall service customer care/ mis-communication with the service center to finally schedule the software update service. A week after the recall service my car wouldn’t start (with around 60% battery juice left) from a normal stop at a rest area/ gas station in Parsippany. Awaited for the tow truck for 2 hours which wasn’t completely covered by VW. I should appreciate the person who towed the car, after 1 hour of work he was finally able to get the car on the truck( please note that if you think you can tow your EV easily, you are probably wrong) . Paul miller VW service like all other VW showrooms were in back order for loaners. I was 90 miles away from home without a loaner and not much help from VW. After 10 days waiting for my car service I got a loaner, they found out that the 12 V battery was gone. 2 months later one main battery cell has failed. They are not allowed to do service at every center so I need to get it 30 miles from home at a service station that can only repair 1 car at a time??! Please keep away from this Car and if possible VW.
