The “Art” of the Arteon
It seems this is my forth VW now and my most enticing. All Wheel Drive, hatchback and 300 horses of cornering fun. The exterior is elegant and warrants my cars nickname, ‘The Magic’. You feel special riding inside. Flat through the curves with responsive steering. Intuitive infotainment system with strong sound from the stereo. Finishing touches abound to please and a solid thump when the doors close. A solid build indeed. Criticism? A bit of turbo lag with the transmission which is likely to be expected to push all the power to the wheels. Leave the completion, which is slim in this segment, in the rear view. Put some asphalt behind you and set the drive from a number of drive settings to ‘Sport’ which is a hoot. Drive one, you’ll like and enjoy! See you on the road...

Back in a V-Dubb!
It’s been a few years of being away from a Volkswagen, I made the journey back. I’m enjoying the ride of my SEL R-line. It’s smooth, comfortable and a stand-out. I can always spot it in a parking lot. My favorite feature is the car-net, having it nice & toasty in the winter is great, my wife enjoys this as well. I can’t wait to take my first road trip when things improve.

Great looking car but no fun to drive
Pros - Great looking car with nice lines. It has plenty of passenger room in the front and back and the truck is large and overall layout is good . The technology is in the car is up to par and provides a lot of information regarding driving. The dash layout is good and I like the fact you can change the interment cluster. The adaptive suspension is works well however I wish you had more options for customization mode. Steering is good and the AWD system handles well in the rain and grabs the pavement. Type R badging and wheels and tires are very stylish. Cons- if you are looking for a fun car to drive, this is not it. The drivetrain feels underpowered and runs out of steam quick. Under heavy acceleration, transmission is slow shifting and feels jerky. Transmission cannot find correct gear to accelerate from low speeds and suffers from turbo lag. Overall, the interior plastic is a little cheap an you can hear vibration noise from the interment cluster housing. You can also hear vibration in the door area from the speakers when volume is only half up. Gas mileage is about 21 overall living in a city using the freeway and the most I have gotten on a road trip is 28 driving 75-80. Overall- this car is good for a driver who does not need any type of excitement. For the price (43000 or so) you should look at a BMW 3 series, Genesis G 70 or Kia Stinger. I regret buying this car and will trade in as soon as I am even in the lease. I truly hope that the 2022 upgrades to the powertrain make this car more exiting. Owned car for over 6 months and driven 4500 miles.

windnoise
Have my 2020 Arteon for 6 month, only 3000 miles. can't stand driving it. Horrendous wind noise at 50mph+ . Took it Rick Case VW Weston Florida. They confirmed it has excessive wind noise, kept the car for 8 days in shop. Can't find cause of wind noise, therefore can't fix the problem. Stated it's normal for the car. ???Just leaving me hanging and told me to take it up with VW directly. Definitely no Fahrvergnuegen! At Rick Case where "Customers are Friends"! If I treat my friends like that I wouldn't have any.
