2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata
I tend to be have a lead foot when driving. I have driven stick shifts my whole life. The shifting is very smooth and easy. I love that this car takes regular gas (over my last convertible car that required premium). That in itself is a savings. So far, I'm averaging 34 mpg around town (my last car only got 25 around town). I wish the cup holders and cd player were easier to … access, but not a deterrent to not purchase this car. This car, with the top down and the windows up, really keeps the car warm on those cooler, but sunny days. Too many kits (medical, roadside) to keep in the small trunk. The trunk is deep but not wide enough to accommodate a set of golf clubs. I still think this car is a good value for the money. Love the automatic car locks when you walk away. My last car was a 2006, so the new bells and whistles are very impressive to me. Just be aware that the passenger side has limited space, so could be tight for larger people.
Update: I sold this car after a year because it is what I drive everyday....it was too small in the truck and interior for everyday use. I did love the great gas mileage, but beware I think it really is just a "weekend/fun" car.
