2024 Lexus ES
I test drove a BMW 330, and Audi A4, Acura TLX, Camry XLE, and a 2.0 liter Accord. All but the Camry were more engaging to drive. Several had better acceleration.
Why did I buy the ES350? It's a fast, quiet couch, and serves as a happy compromise in areas in which the other cars were lacking. Audi, BMW, and Honda had less than comfortable seats for long drives. Acura's interior was all … over the place. The Camry was just too beige. The ES has a great layout, accelerates adequately, is quiet and reasonably comfortable for the price.
Yeah, the base stereo is kind of lackluster, but it's not awful. Having driven multiple competitors, I'm quite happy so far.
