The Jeep I wanted 15k miles (Auto) Update

2022 Jeep Wrangler
15k miles on my 2022 Willies and it is proving that my upgrades to my 2020 Covid trade were worth it.
1- The 2020 had that terrible auto shut off but this 2022 is seem less … such an improvement
The engine should and does continue to provide for great acceleration on the highway. The ride is, as expected, for a Wrangler with off-road tires and suspension. Highway speeds of 65+ are … no problem but for those who expect a car-like ride - you won’t get it. My last highway trip earned 26mpg at 65-75 mph. My backroad commute with stop signs still gets 20-23pmg.
The convertible aspect is an outstanding feature with the Wrangler and the added sunrider is awesome. With a simple flick the front roof goes convertible. I use it all year long in the NorthEast … if it’s not raining too hard or storming - the roof quickly goes back.
Back seats are not for adults to sit comfortably. Recently I had 2 adults squeeze into the back for a short 3 mile travel.
2- I still appreciate the option of the “all wheel drive” transmission selection. For anyone who does mixed weather driving in the NE it is a comforting option. I highly recommend it. FYI =the “AWD” selector choice minimizes the need to constantly shift into 4wd.
My only complaint - is that Jeep did not offer the option of a rear-locker for 2022. I’ve been places off road where a locker WAS a game-changer. “It’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it” I would have selected that option to make this Red, Willies, perfect for our needs.
