Used 2010 Toyota Yaris Consumer Reviews
I LOVE my Yaris!
This is my 6th Toyota, and my first- ever NEW one. I have only had it a week, so I can't comment on reliability, but I fully expect to have the car through 300K miles. I have the 5-speed, and it's a darn zippy ride! Smooth shifting and peppy. The center odometer/speedometer doesn't bother me a bit and it's nice to have the extra glove box so close to the driver. The car is ABSURDLY large inside compared to what you would think--a ton of room for both driver and passengers or cargo. I feel as if it's roomier than my Corolla.
Not a race car
The Yaris is definitely not a performance car. If you want to burn some rubber, look elsewhere. Highway miles going 60 - 70 I got 42 mpg while running AC. City only I got mid 30's with AC and driving conservatively. Comfortable and handles well. Had a Tercel before that was still running well @ 177K miles. Tercel gave me no headaches ever, hope this car will be as reliable. Stereo system is so-so but does the job. Radio reception is poor. Interior is roomy, seats are nice, instruments are clearly visible. Everything is manual (windows, locks), so there's less stuff to brake. If you're looking for a reliable economy car that gets great gas mileage and doesn't brake the bank look no further.

2010 Yaris
This is the second Yaris I've owned. I had a 2008 that I bought in 2007. I wouldn't have bought another one if I didn't think they were good cars. My only complaint would be the cheapness of the interior and the paint job. Both of which failed me on my 2008. The gas mileage is a dream. I took my 08 Yaris from SC to MA last year and only spent $160 RT. Amazing!
Superb Economy Car
My 2008 Yaris recently totaled in accident. Did what it was supposed to, protect my wife and me while taking the damage. Four days later I had a 2010 identical Yaris with even better safety features. I cannot tell you how peppy, compact, fun to drive and SAFE this small car can be. Gas mileage is great, interior and exterior features and looks are sleek and very 'Euro' style, and the cargo room is outstanding for what basically looks like a cute Tinkertoy. Small wife (4'11")loves the view driving it. Great choice for many reasons.
Good, cheap fun
I bought the Yaris strictly as a commuter car, for a 100 mile a day round trip commute, on the basis of the fuel economy and the expectation that I wouldn't feel bad about putting so many miles on a cheap car. As it turns out, it's actually fun to drive. With the five speed manual, this light car gives all of the acceleration I need in town and on the freeway. I'm also impressed with the "feel" of the materials. The doors close with that "thud" that you expect from a luxury sedan, rather than flimsy feel of a traditional subcompact. With its smooth ride, I have difficulty keeping my speed down on the freeway. After getting my first ticket in 20 years, I installed aftermarket cruise control
