After test driving all full-size trucks on the market found this one to be the best. Smooth quiet ride,better fit & finish than Dodge,GM or Ford. Engines are more advanced than domestics. V-6 is not fast but strong & steady no matter what the load. Interior materials & finish far superior to domestics. Avergage about 18-20 mpg. '01 models built better than '00 trucks. Sloppy assembly evident in dented radiator and mis-aligned bed. Otherwise an excellent truck.
Love the power it there when I need it.

It rides and drives like a car . Smooth and quiet I really like that .It will carry about anything you load in the bed. It's just a very good truck thats all.

I totaled my Tundra and was launched in the air for well over 145 feet, it landed and then bounced crossed the road and hit 2 other cars, I was knocked out but came to and just felt slightly sore. That truck saved my life ! I believe as does everyone who saw the crash scene that I would have been killed if I was in any other kind of truck made A++++ . I Thank you Toyota for making them safe. I believe that is the strongest and safest truck on the road ever built. I give this truck my highest regards and recommend them to everyone. AMAZING TRUCKS TOYOTA !!

This is the best truck for a retired guy I've ever seen. If I still worked I'd want an 8' bed but now it's just right. If things continue like they have so far I'll probably keep it until I die and they can bury me in it.

After being a lifer Chevy/Ford person, my wife bought a Camry and we've been hooked on Toyota since. I spens a lot of time looking around at the Big 3 and decided to go with the Tundra and I'm glad I did. It has been rock solid...no problems, good power, handles great. I don't use 4WD much other than the winter, but it is nice to have. The brakes seem fine to me, I was surprised to see others complaining about them. I've had heavy loads in the bed, it sagged down low as expected but took it fine. I'd recommend this to anyone.
