Very Satisfied
This is a well engineered vehicle. Very comfortable seats, very quiet in the cabin. Birds eye camera and saftey features ie. blind spot and lane sensing are fantastic. The only things I would like to see added is a power passenger seat and a light in the cargo area. Buying the Hybrid was a no brainer...I think it was only around $700 more than the gas model. Checked my mileage this last refill and it was 33.95 mpg. The computer read out indicated 35.1 so very close to actual.

Greatly Recommend this vehicle
After driving for more than 21,000 miles I believe that it is a good vehicle. It is powerful enough on hills. It is comfortable to drive. My complaints: poor driver mirror design, you need to be careful when changing left lanes. Do not trust the mirror. Radio Preset station hard to change. Cannot check transmission oil level. It is a closed system. You need special tools to check.

this is a fine car
so far I have no complaints. The happiest aspect of our short life together is fuel economy - 28.5 mpg overall with a healthy dose of town driving and 31 and change on the interstate. My guess is that a light foot is the answer. We try our best to keep the "eco" light on and it pays off. Otherwise, the seating is more comfortable than it was in our 2009 rav an there's plenty of legroom in the rear. Can't wait to try the off road performance! which is great! she's got 40k on her & all's well except for the tires which don't have a whole lot left in them. One worry popped up a month or so ago when a friend noticed that the front brake rotors were badly scored. But when I took it to my mechanic he told me that's the way Toyota designed things something about some extra hard stuff in the pads to keep em from wearing out. Seems to me that the rotors will wear out, but he said it'll need a brake job at 80k so I guess we'll see

Rav vs CRV.
After 3 months of research, we decided to purchase a 2016 Rav4 XLE. We were also interested in the CRV, but decided against it while on the test drive. Something is just not right with the CVT. We didn't notice it while on the secondary roadways, but once on the highway it felt like the car was being held back. My wife stated that the information cluster indicated the MPG's were 14.5. We inquired with the salesman but he had no idea that Honda had a transmission issue in the CRV. The Rav had no such issues, it drove great has lots of space and looks nice inside. If you are currently driving a v-6, like we were, there is very little difference in performance it was quite a surprise. We are new Toyota owners, but everyone we have talked with just loved theirs. The Toyota Dealership was also willing to negotiate.

Spring Break trip to Colorado from North Texas
Let me get my complaint out of the way first. When driving on snow and ice, you come to a stop at intersection. Then you press the gas pedal to go-and nothing happens! The car will not respond to the driver, it will only move forward at a speed where the tires do not spin. Meanwhile the car behind us starts to honk, etc. This happened to me numerous times in the mountain town we visited. Once the car responded, it was great. The gas mileage was OK, about 24 mpg running 75 mph. We put 2220 miles on the car in the week that we were out. Holding that speed on I-25 between Raton, NM and Denver, the transmission gets a little "shifty" on the uphill slopes, but you get used to it. - I was very impressed at how quiet the cabin remained at high speeds. The car was easy to drive even in the crosswinds. We made use of the manual shift option on the mountain roads. It worked effectively. The car has a smooth ride. The interior is roomy and comfortable. The telescopic adjustment steering was nice. The dashboard controls were good, but I did miss not having a compass. Maybe there is one, but we never found it. And the maps feature must not have been working, but it did display. With all the other technology on the car, it should tell you your altitude, direction of travel, current location, weather conditions, amount of moisture on the pavement, eg. Ice, snow, rain, etc. You need this information driving in the mountains at nighttime. You don't know your location, and cannot be sure of conditions as you change altitude, etc. - The spare tire was full size and easy to access. Five adults fit comfortably in the car. Acceleration was good on dry pavement, not so good on the snow. Getting in and out is good. The car sits high enough as not to stress these "old bones". - I give the car a solid B+
