Best vehicle I've ever bought!

From Corvettes to Cadillacs (okay, one Cadillac), in my 55 years of buying vehicles, this is the best one ever. Last Toyota I owned was an '84 Camry, which was less than impressive. All it took for me to buy this 2021 RAV4 Hybrid was a test drive. We flew halfway across the country, Missouri to Massachusetts, to get the exact equipped car and deal we wanted and we are thrilled to death with it. We broke it in as advised (varied speeds, no cruise control) for the first 1,000 miles and did the first oil change at 1,700 miles and it has paid dividends. We only have 2,700 miles on it, drive it gently and in a mix of suburban/highway driving, it indicated 45.9 mpg this morning. Of the fill ups, indicated mpg has been greater than hand calculated only once, and less than indicated twice, all within one or two tenths of a mile, so indicated is quite accurate. (Before buying this vehicle, learned to never pump more gas in once pump clicks off, could damage emissions system.) Quiet, comfortable, economical, AWD, roomy (I'm 6'4", 265) and fun to drive. What's not to like? (And no, I do not work for Toyota or any related company, never have.) Did I mention we LOVE this car? 10 stars out of 5. UPDATE after 14 months of ownership: Still love it. In town mpg dropped to high 30's, but we took it in to dealer and voila, back to mid 40's. Did a 5K oil change awhile back and just had our 10K oil change this afternoon. Wouldn't trade it even for a Lexus or any other hybrid.

Classy Design/Great Mileage

Classic RAV4 design and styling makes this a really good looking vehicle. The Hybrid arrangement yields 40-42 MPG on the highway, as advertised. The ride is comfortable. Drawbacks (at least on the one I purchased) are: no built in navigation map, no built in garage door opener, no compass in the display area, dashboard readings are difficult to read as it lacks brightness (even after turning up the brightness display), no automatic rear view mirror dimmer. Towing capacity of this hybrid is only 1750 lbs. So towing a 1600 lb camper drops MPG down to around 20 MPG, which is still not bad compared to larger non-hybrid vehicles which are lucky to get 20 MPG with no load.

Badass ride!

Hybrids in general are awesome. It’s not a new technology anymore. Save on gasoline. Be easier on the planet! This RAV4 is powerful, has a smooth quiet ride. I love the exterior styling and my black mag wheels. I keep cars for a long time. This Toyota should easily last me 10 plus years. It’s a Toyota!

The heated features broke under 3000 miles

As a brand new car purchase, I expect the bells and whistles to work more than 3000 miles. The heated steering wheel and seat stopped working. They were confirmed to be broken and were replaced. But now it heats up in 1.30 minutes lasts for a minute and it turns off for 4 minutes- all parts of the steering wheel. This signals further issues with the electrical components, and likely the computer.

Rav4 Hybrid

I've had the vehicle one day. Totally happy with performance, power and looks. The AWD All Wheel Drive is different from what I'm used to driving but is not a detriment to the overall driving of the vehicle. So far....so good.
