Full transparency: This car has less than 1000 miles on it. However, it has been an absolute joy to own. It's relatively quick (and I've never had it in sport mode), has fantastic features, and is very easy on the wallet at the pump. I drive in the absolute worst conditions for fuel economy (stop and SPRINT with poorly timed lights). It will get about 32mpg in those conditions. But with normal driving, I've been getting 39-41 on average. The small footprint makes it very easy for city driving, but the large interior is great for when you need it. I'm 5'9" and the seating position is ideal. If I had one gripe, it's that the ventilated seats are reserved for the Limited. The XSE just looks so much cooler! *Update* 15,000 miles and still my favorite vehicle so far. It’s been across the country (once east to west and once north to south) and has been fantastic. The most efficient hybrid can’t fully make up for the awful traffic in big cities, but I don’t get below 35 mpg often. Still a joy to drive!

3/8/2021 - Update at 15,000 miles. Gas tank fix was done, seems to be working better, will be able to fully tell once summer arrives and my MPG goes up. Mirrors had the TSB done and now they don't vibrate any longer on the highway. My two biggest complaints about the car and may cause me to trade it in a year or so is the lack of front seat comfort and why on earth did Toyota make the roof line so low! I am 5'10" and the passenger seat is so close to the roof and cannot be lowered, the Venza is even worse. These two items are my largest complaints, otherwise no other issues to date. Update on 9/4 - Now after a few months of ownership and 10,000 miles, same feelings for the most part. Mirrors still vibrate on the highway(Toyota claims to have a fix). No doubt they move cause the sheet metal on this car is the thinnest I have ever seen. I would hate to see what a door ding is going to look like. The gast tank is still an issue, Toyota sent out a letter to owners stating they know there is an issue and they will address it. I think the only reason they did this is that people have been lemon lawing their cars, not sure if this changes the lemon law ability or now. For me the worst part about the car is the seats, anything over a few hours is really bad and the passenger seat completely sucks for any long road trip, no power and not many adjustments, along with being shoved so high into the ceiling is bad. My buddy has a prius and his seats and space are much better. If they don't fix the tank soon I may lemon law this car, I should have shopped more and bought something more comfortable. The gas mileage is great though, and the power is good, even towing a jet ski, still averaging 32-34 on the highway and 36-40 in mixed driving in the warmer months. Thinking I should have just bought the subaru. I bought a limited about 1 month ago and now have 1,000 miles on it. I am averaging 34mpg mixed driving in the winter of PA. The trans has been so smooth, the power is there when it is needed and I liked the design of the dash and controls much better than the huge touch screen in the Subaru Outback. I really liked the quietness of the Subaru, the smooth ride and nice seats but the huge touch screen doesn’t belong in a car and their start stop was really bad. So far no major complaints on the RAV but the buyer should be aware. MOST people have an issue with the GAS TANK not filling all the way, this has been going on since the launch in 2019 and they don’t yet have a fix. You are essentially missing 2-3 gallons of capacity in the tank hence reducing your range. My driver mirror shakes at highway speed, seems common. Too cheap of parts on the car in my opinion but I still bought it lol. Overall seems decent so far, but if Subaru didn’t have that huge tablet on the dash and the start/stop was better I would have bought that car.

Decided to try the RAV4 Limited Hybrid after owning the Prius. Love the 40 mpg and ventilated seats!! This vehicle has all the safety features you could ask for in a stylish and fun to drive model. The folks at Beaver Toyota took care to get me in the car I wanted and with the features I asked for. Thank you George and Doug for all your help!

If you go thru the professional reviews carefully, they mention that the passenger side is a little cramped. The seat is up higher, I guess because the battery is underneath it (salesman was unable to comment on any of this). It was difficult to get in (I'm 5'10" tall) and felt cramped when sitting. I thought I felt this way because we now drive a larger SUV and I was having a hard time adjusting. But when, on a lark, we sat in the Prius Prime, the front seats felt extremely roomy, with better visual and much better layout. Maybe the Prime will be better, as the battery is supposed to be located in a different spot It's too bad, because with such great mileage we were ready to buy.

I purchased a brand new Rav4 hybrid 2020 last year in August 2020 and in November 2020 I parked my car in my driveway at night and when I try to start my car the next morning there was no power in-car I called the local Toyota dealership and they towed vehicle to their repair shop and next day they call me saying my car is ready, upon asking what was wrong with the car they say we upgraded charging system of the hybrid system. it was working fine till this morning 5-17-2021 same as last time I parked my car at night and in the morning no response from the battery. I called again local dealership and they towed the car lets see what they say this time. so my experience with the Toyota rav4 hybrid is not good.
